After scoring Scott Derrickson's Doctor Strange last year, Michael Giacchino is back for another Marvel adventure, this time providing the original motion picture score for Jon Watts' highly anticipated Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Last night, the Academy Award-winning composer released a spectacular sample for one of his Homecoming tracks, which is a very cool new orchestral take on the classic Spider-Man theme, which many fans will undoubtedly be humming long after seeing the movie in theaters this July.

Giacchino will followup Homecoming with The Book of Henry, War for the Planet of the Apes, Jurassic World 2, The Incredibles 2, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

Check out the amazing sample below:

A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.

It's more like the actual theme (by an orchestra) rather than the reimagining of it. Personally, I don't like it as the main theme of the film. I don't think that we'll ever get a spider theme better than Danny Elfmann's.

@ALF9001 - I WISH Danny Elfman's score was as iconic or memorable or Hummable as Batman, Edward Scissorhands, The Flash, Alice in Wonderland...even Hulk.
But it comes off as kind of incomplete. Like, the opening titles keep reaching for crescendos that never quite materialize.
Still has that classic vibe, but between the beginning and the swing at the end, the vast majority of the music is clanky, clumsy and discordant.
James Horner's TASM score worked faaaar better. So did Hans Zimmer's TASM 2, even though the film didn't quite feel the right fit often.
Elfman lost that fantastical, melodic quality that made his music so great in the "90s, largely.

@Lem1 - TASM 2's score worked better then Elfman's score? I mean maybe, if by working better you mean sounding like rap/dubstep trash.

@ALF9001 - It's not going to be the main theme. This is the theme of the opening Marvel Studios credits for Spider-Man.

@ALF9001 - i noticed that michael giacchino lovest to pay homage to classic themes he did that with The Incredibles and the Speed Racer Score

@Lem1 - james horner and Hanz Zimmer's score were so generic if you took them out of the scenes they sound average as [frick]

@ALF9001 - Can't hear Elfman's score without hearing God Bless America.

And yeah, I get it. They were probably scoring the movie as the towers fell, but it's just a bit much 15 years later.

@ALF9001 - Believe it or not, I actually preferred James Horner's Amazing Spider-Man theme to Elfman's. Elfman is no doubt the better composer but his Spider-Man theme was a little too operatic for the character in my opinion.

@Spock0Clock - How does it even remotely sound like God Bless America? lmao
