SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Fan Art Visualizes MCU Spidey's Adoration Of Iron Man

A talented artist has provided visualization of some key moments in young Peter Parker's life that likely cemented his admiration of the erstwhile weapons magnate turned armor-clad superhero.

Not on board with the new Spider-Man/Iron-Man dynamic that will play out in Homecoming?  Perhaps seeing the off-screen history of Peter's connection to Tony will change your mind?

It will be interesting to see if such a scene/flashback plays out in the John Watt-directed superhero pic which really hammers home the fact that Tony is Peter's hero, not his mentor.  Of course, from the audience's perspective, Tony isn't exactly someone who's deserving of hero-worship and perhaps that's something that Peter will discover as well?

Check out the talented artwork from @artinggrace below.

Peter is his own man, he doesn't have to look up to Stark.

@IKidYouNotMan - Looking up to Stark doesn't make him less of a hero. It's just an inspiration to enter the hero world.

@IKidYouNotMan -

I think he can look up to start to begin with, but i'd like to see the 'misleading idol' idea where he's looked up to Tony Stark/Iron Man his entire life, but now realises that Tony is irresponsible, flawed and generally just another person rather than some sort of great hero.

Then he bases his ideology on that 'with great power, comes great responsibility' - essentially him saying that he wont be irresponsible like Stark, he'll be his own man.

I think that would be a nice way to show it.

@IKidYouNotMan - [frick]ing this.

The trailer makes it look like Peter is Spider-Man because of Tony Stark and that's really messed up.

I'll wait and see how it plays out, but I'm definitely not liking this.

Damn, I feel like reading these issues again. Brings back my comicbook-loving-kid memories.

And it managed to grow up Peter Parker, being a teacher and all.
