SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING: First Look At Michael Chernus As The Tinkerer Revealed

Thanks to the latest issue of Empire Magazine, we have a first look at Michael Chernus (Orange is the New Black) as The Tinkerer. Described by the publication as Adrian Toomes' sidekick, they reiterate the fact that the latter is put out of business shortly after the events of The Avengers when Damage Control arrives on the scene to take over the tech salvaging business from the debt-ridden future villain.

"That puts him in a pretty desperate situation," explains Spider-Man: Homecoming co-producer Eric Carroll. "So with one of the trucks they've already loaded up, he and his crew, with the help of a character called The Tinkerer, start stealing more of this exotic tech - Chitauri, Dark Elf, and even some Stark stuff - to
retro-fit and sell on the black market." And to become villains themselves!

In the comic books, the character has an almost superhuman gift of genius in engineering and is able to invent incredible gadgets from spare parts left lying around. Whether he'll only appear in this movie or future adventures revolving around the wall-crawler remains to be seen, but you can let us know your thoughts on this take on Spider-Man: Homecoming's Tinkerer in the comments section down below.

Smart move layering. Evil villain warehouses can be very drafty.

@jerryblake - I hope Vulture doesn't die. I want a legit MCU Sinister Six film. With Spiderman teaming up with the Defenders to take the Sinister Six funded by Fisk down.

lol. If you were collecting tech around the globe some alien, I'd think they could do more than become villains.

Well.....it's the tinkerer. He's hardily the most exciting villain. I'm sure he'll be playing third fiddle for the film, as he should be.
