SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Will Be The First Film In A New Spidey Trilogy According To Star Tom Holland

We knew there would be at least one more solo movie after Spider-Man: Homecoming, but Tom Holland (Peter Parker) has now seemingly confirmed plans for a new trilogy during a recent interview...

Several people involved with bringing Spider-Man: Homecoming to the screen have already indicated that we'd be getting one more solo Spidey adventure at some point, but it sounds like Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures actually have plans in place for a trilogy.

During an interview with French site Allocine, Peter Parker actor Tom Holland appeared to let slip that there is indeed a third installment on the radar:

“There is still plenty of room to see Peter grow up Parker and especially Spider-Man in the next two movies, and at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming, the story is definitely not complete, I’m really looking forward to exploring how it will grow, [and to] see what will happen after puberty. Yes, [they’re] going to be exciting movies.”

Just to be certain, the site asked Holland to clarify his words, to which he responded: “Yes, there will be Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 and Spider-Man: Homecoming 3. Now, you know, sorry, Marvel, oops!"

Though this has obviously yet to be made official, Holland's comments do seem like pretty solid confirmation.

Not a huge surprise, perhaps, but there was always the possibility that the deal between Marvel and Sony was only going to allow for two solo movies, so it's nice to know for sure that this won't be the case.

@knocturnalzen10 -

Three movies wont really be enough time to develop them while also advancing Peter's storyline and dealing with the fallout of Infinity War.

Sony also holds the rights to the Sinister Six movie.

@knocturnalzen10 -

'Dont let your dreams be dreams' :P

Though yeah, the only method to properly give us them would be to get the rights back and introduce them in other heroes movies - such as introducing Kraven in Black Panther 2.

@knocturnalzen10 - my buddy and I just had the debate of who had the better rogue gallery: Batman or Spider-Man? It's crazy, they have so many great options and the studio is barely moving past the Osbornes. I really hope Vulture is great and they don't kill him off
