SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE Spoilers: A Beloved SPIDER-MAN Actor Cameos And Teases A Sinister Team

It's easy to miss in the movie, but Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse features a cameo from a beloved supporting actor who quietly sets the stage for a sinister team to assemble in Beyond the Spider-Verse...

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse features too many cameos to count, and it's going to be a lot of fun combing through the sequel once it arrives on Blu-ray.

We're sure you spotted (or heard) the cameos from Spidey voiceover actors like Yuri Lowenthal and Josh Keaton, not to mention surprise live-action appearances by Donald Glover's Prowler and the Venom franchise's Mrs. Chen. However, another iconic Spider-Man supporting character also lends their voice to the movie.

We are, of course, talking about J.K. Simmons' J. Jonah Jameson!

The actor can be briefly seen and heard playing an animated Jonah on Miles Morales' Earth-1610, and like his MCU counterpart, he's a TV shock jock who has nothing good to say about Brooklyn's wall-crawling superhero.

In a more obvious cameo, Simmons' voice is heard when we visit a LEGO Universe, though those lines appear to have been pulled directly from Sam Raimi's Spider-Man movies.

There's more new dialogue at the end of the movie, and it features what could be a huge tease for the sequel. On Earth-42, Miles finds himself face to face with another version of himself (who is The Prowler in his reality) and Jonah can be heard in the background talking about "The Sinister Six Cartel."

Could Earth-42's Miles be a member of that group on a world without a Spider-Man?

"A contender for the best Spider-Man film yet and easily the greatest animated movie ever made," we said in our review, "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is a jaw-dropping spectacle, a feast for the senses, and an instant Marvel classic."

There's much more to this movie than Easter Eggs, but for Spider-Man fans, everything that plays out on screen is a real dream come true. We're sure more cameos and surprises will be spotted in the weeks ahead, but make sure to keep checking back here as we'll have lots more to share with you in the days ahead.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is now playing in theaters.
