Peter in this movie reminds me of Dean from The Iron Giant.

Apparently this movie has "sloppy animation" according to Roger Moore, the first negative review...

@ANewPope - The audacity of that prick to ruin the 100% rating. Smh

@ANewPope

Took me a while to get used to, and I imagine some are going to have a harder time accepting it than others.

But the movie is beautifully animated imo.

@ANewPope - I can agree with that opinion. I don't like how choppy it is either. For him to give it a rotten score just on that though, Idk.

@ANewPope - It's now at exactly 100 reviews counted on RT, with just that one negative one. Oh well, not every movie can be a Paddington 2.

saw this at a preview screening last Friday - what a film. Even my girlfriend, who isn't a huge fan of animated movies, loved this. Proper psyched to see it again next week!

I don’t know if you guys are on Twitter but Guillermo Del Toro has been tweeting & RTing articles about this film & constantly praising the film

It’s nice & a bit odd because I’ve never seen him tweet about any comic book movies from the MCU & that he’s said before he’s not a big Marvel fan outside of Mobius, Hulk, Blade, & Spider-Man

Imagine a sequel with Tobey’s Spider-Man in a Who Framed Roger Rabbit style where Tobey is live action but everything is animated

Off Topic Mixed Aquaman Reviews begin to trickle out.

1 and a 1/2 stars "But there’s plenty more in Aquaman that will provoke unintentional laughter. It’s less that the world presented here—with its fish-human hybrids, legendary kings, and coveted tridents—is inherently funny, and more that the film rushes through its story at such a breakneck pace that viewers never have a chance to settle into it, to see it as a lived-in universe. After a while, it all begins to feel arbitrary. We have little time to process the functioning of water-based laser rifles before we’re introduced to fish people in brightly colored togas, or to a stone-faced Willem Defoe wearing a onesie and a top-knot."

"As with much about the DC universe, the whole thing is hobbled by carelessness, which might not hurt box office receipts but certainly doesn’t ensure the long-term appeal of the brand.

Wan clearly put sizable effort into mining a few gratifying moments from the bland rubble of “Justice League.” The cynical, hard-drinking muscleman actually seems like a compelling idea for modern times. As a protector of the Earth’s most fragile environment, he’s the ultimate fearsome rejoinder to the characterization of climate change as a puny liberal ideal. In a better world, “Aquaman” would excel at delivering an ecological message to the masses. But all the fish in the sea can’t salvage a movie that refuses to go more than surface deep."

Aquaman reviews are out! Mixed to positive right now.

People praising the goofy fun but many saying it's very overstuffed and unfocused.

Still excited to see it myself!
