Is Rhys Ifans Playing the Lizard or NOT? Sony Isn't Saying.

Seems like there has been some back and fourth with Sony...

The big news that Rhys Ifans will be playing Curt Conners has been all over the interwebs lately. It seems like Sony pictures has something, make that nothing to say about it. Over at Hitfix.com they are reporting that Sony has uttered a terse "No comment." when asked if Ifans is playing The Lizard. It seems that the studio wanted the villain reveal to be a secret and that The Wrap let the cat, or is it lizard, out of the bag.

I really doubt that The Wrap was wrong and Sony is just keeping mum for mum's sake. Could it be though, that maybe Ifans is playing somebody else? Spider-Man has as many villains as he does problems and maybe WE all did jump the gun. I don't think so though. I think Sony is trying to keep secrets on one of the biggest movies out there and now they are finding out it's not that easy any more. What say you?

I think Phillip Seymour Hoffman would make a FANtastic Doc Ock! He was up for the part waaaaaay back when Spider-Man 2 was coming out...

What they should do is include 2 bad guys per spiderman movie. Not working together but just to show he has to juggle more than one villain at a time.

First do the vulture and kraven.

second movie do sandman and mysterio

third movie do electro and doc ock.

then you follow up the movie with a huge spiderman vs sinister six movie. Blow the avengers movie out of the water with that.(if the 3 movies are good)

aztony1975 - watch Spiderman 3, there's a few shockers in there! But yes, I always thought he was underrated and would make a great back up villain!
