Speaking with Yahoo! Movies, Oscar winning actor Jamie Foxx talks briefly about his role as Electro in next summer's The Amazing Spider-Man 2. He praises the costume worn by the villain, saying that he had no input into the design but thought that it was "very creative". "Oh, man ― it's so much fun. The costume is great. They were very creative with it." He also talks about sitting in the makeup chair for a long length of time, and states that he merely "chills" during the process. "It's a couple hours ― a couple hours of work, but it's really so much fun. It's part of a remarkable legacy: Spider-Man. I mean, when you're growing up as a kid, you know, that's everything. So to be able to be in that is just amazing."

Finally, Foxx confirms that he will be appearing at this July's San Diego Comic-Con to promote the anticipated sequel, whose presence at the convention has only been speculated up to this point. "Now I'm just waiting to get to Comic-Con and see how people respond to it. [Director] Marc Webb is a genius and Amy Pascal and everybody at Sony have just be so gracious to allow me to have this opportunity. So it's cool." Director Marc Webb and stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone (among others, most likely) will probably appear at SDCC later this summer as well to promote the currently-shooting sequel, even though an official announcement has yet to be made.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Shailene Woodley, Dane DeHaan, Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti, Felicity Jones, Chris Cooper and Sally Field. The film is set to hit theaters May 2nd, 2014.

Here's what I want at comic-con. Proof of Electro and Rhino being exciting and serving a purpose on the big screen. If they can do that then this movie will be fine.

If Disney was going to buy back X-Men, Spider-Man, and Fantastic Four then they wouldn't have brought Star Wars.

As good as some of his performances are I always get this sense of Foxx having a HUGE ego and being really cocky, I believe his break out role was 'Any Given Sunday' and if you see his audition for that (obviously pre-famous) he still comes off as incredibly egotistical and self centred

Also Marc Webb just watched Super Mario Bros, Batman Begins, and Spider-Man. Does that mean I'm a genius too?

Marc Webb is a genius he successfully relaunched the Spider man franchise and ASM2 will probably be the next marvel movie to make billion dollars.

@pablomansini - agreed I think that's probably why he's been so successful. It worries me though when someone so clearly in love with themselves can 'act' so humble in his performances.

"They were very creative with it" yeah because a [frick]ing hoodie with some glowsticks is goddamn genius. The only difference between ASM and ASM2 is this one is going to take another steaming shit on two classic villains instead of one. There's a reason we have not seen either one in a costume,...because there aren't any! Rhino is cliched russian gangster in a track suit, and Electro is a popsicle in a glowing hoodie. They can't even tell the difference between electricity and ice!!

I really can't wait for those people saying it'll suck to eat their words. Because I know this movie will rock. With no more origin retelling to...well...retell. The costume is awesome and it has secured the hottest spot for any movie to release at any time. The first Friday of May is huge. I doubt it'll make less than the original movie and MAYBE break the one billion mark. However, the amount of money made doesn't reflect on the movies in terms of quality. Since, y'know, TDKR made more than a billion dollars.
