The site managed to catch up with Josh Hutcherson, who's one of the candidates on the rumoured "short list", and asked him a few questions about his audition. Below are the parts where he talks about the Spider-Man reboot but to read the rest, just follow the link at the bottom of the page!

On his audition and how he feels about being considered for the role:

"I think a lot of people are auditioning and talking about it, so it's an honor to be considered on the same list with some of these actors that I'm up against. It's really cool. To be talked about in that kind of role is very awesome."

On whether he's still in the running:

"I really don't know what's going on with everything right now. It would be an honor to play that role, it's a big thing, it's a total game changer. I really want to play a comic book hero. I'm not really huge into comics, but I've always been big into superheroes from the cartoons and the movies that have been made about them."

On whether he got to read the script for the movie:

"No, they won't let anybody read that. They have it in a safe inside a vault inside some secret Fort Knox location."

@LEEE777
I'm sure he isn't the best actor from the list, but with Marc directing he could bring out the best in him. I should think about checking out 'Bridge to Terabithia' again to try to get an idea of him. I was even planning on writing an editorial to show why he would be good for the role.

Thanks man! We'll see about that. Sorry for sounding like a broken record, but be on the lookout for my upcoming editorial, "EDITORIAL: Taylor Momsen as Gwen Stacy? - Can Lil' Jenny handle being the talk of the world as Spidey's first love? The good and the bad that could come from this Gossip Girl."

And if none of you have voted yet, could you please?

If any of you are curious as to how their song, "Make Me Wanna die" got into the "KICK-ASS" soundtrack, just start at 5:28.

oh great now El Guapo from Latino Review is saying Hutcherson has been offered the part. Looks like the Cap America casting when a guy not even on a rumored shortlist suddenly gets the role.

Still not sold on hutcherson he just doesn't have the Peter Parker likeability for me.
