The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

The Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field, the films swings into theaters July 3, 2012 in 3D!

Pretty Cool. I'm wondering as to how they'll pull the nerdy aspect of Petey off. In the 4 minute clip, you see him kickflipping on his skateboard and he's wearing all these retro tee like a hipster. It seems that he'll not be "geeky" but more isolated and keeping to himself, I don't know how I feel bout' that. Regardless, can't wait for the game & movie!

Good to see that he's actually hanging upside down, rather than flipping the set upside down and the camera too.

@TheGambitFreak So the obvious scientific prowess, the loner attitude, and the fact that the guy takes pictures for the schools DEBATE CLUB isn't nerdy enough for you? Nerds don't wear slacks and sweater-vests anymore, people...

@Spidey91 Well all I'm saying is I wear Comic Book tees and I am outgoing as [frick]! LOL, IDK why, but it seems like he'll have no reason to be considered a geek in the movie.

@TheGambitFreak Nice sketch. Like that Old School flavor. I did one for the contest they had for the old, big-titty, fat chick that thought she could be Wonder Woman. I forget her name.

This is what makes me mad. People think the Raimi movies are accurate in their portrayal of Peter Parker. Read some comics people

He takes off his mask and gives it to a kid, he sticks to the roof of a train in plain cloths in front of people, gets his masked snatched off at some point in the trailers and has his mask off in two different posters where he's not really showing his face to begin with. LMAO And....
