Fans were left disappointed when director Sam Raimi departed from the Spider-Man franchise due to creative differences. Despite the mixed reception to Spider-Man 3, Raimi was keen on doing another film, before departing the project due to Sony wanting more say in the film's story. After the project was scrapped entirely, Sony went on to reboot the series with the two Amazing Spider-Man films. Raimi's story for the planned fourth film was known to have included the Vulture and Felicia Hardy (seen below), but now some new artwork has revealed that Mysterio was set to have a role in the film as well...and he looks eerily similar to actor Bruce Campbell, who appeared in three different roles throughout the series. Felicia Hardy also resembles Angelina Jolie in the concept art, though Anne Hathaway was being lined up to play the role. Check out the art below!
