SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Coming Back To Theaters With THE MORE FUN STUFF VERSION Extended Cut

Well, it's been confirmed that Spider-Man: No Way Home is coming back to theaters this fall with an extended cut, titled The More Stuff Version, and it sounds like it's going to be pretty substantial!

While it's been rumored for months, Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios have announced that Spider-Man: No Way Home is officially coming back to theaters this fall with Spider-Man: No Way Home - The More Fun Stuff Version, an extended cut of the 2021 billion-dollar blockbuster.

Currently, the Jon Watts-directed film is set to reopen in the United States and Canada on September 2, with more countries expected to be announced soon.

It's been heavily speculated since the movie's initial run that Sony intended on re-releasing the film at some point in 2022, and those murmurs became even more persistent when the No Way Home's home video release failed to include any of the deleted scenes that were promised.

Storywise, it's unlikely the new cut will be drastically different than the original, but we should expect a heavy dose of new footage including all three Spideys together as well as possibly some more Matt Murdock and the multiverse villains. There's also a chance some VFX work may be updated for the new cut.

Expect Spider-Man: No Way Home - The More Fun Stuff Version to get re-released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and Digital sometime this winter as well, likely just in time for Christmas.

Catch a preview of one of those new scenes in the announcement video below:

Tom Holland headlines the billion-dollar blockbuster with a supporting cast consisting of Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Tony Revolori as Flash Thompson, Angourie Rice as Betty Brant, Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan, Hannibal Buress as Coach Wilson, Martin Starr as Mr. Harrington, J.B. Smoove as Mr. Dell, J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson, Benedict Wong as Master Wong, and Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange.

Tobey Maguire (Peter Parker/Spider-Man), Andrew Garfield (Peter Parker/Spider-Man), Willem Dafoe (Green Goblin), Alfred Molina (Doctor Octopus), Jamie Foxx (Electro), Thomas Haden Church (Sandman), Rhys Ifans (Lizard), and Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock) reprise their roles from the previous Spider-Man films and the Daredevil TV series, respectively.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is now available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and Digital HD!

Those sons of bitches. I actually hate this so much. Like you take out the deleted scenes that we want to see. Mainly more fun stuff with the 3 Peter's so you can re release the movie in theaters. And knowing them they won't release these new scenes for us to see in HD like in FFH.

But I'll still probably go cause I want to see these scenes. [frick]!

@Mrcool210 - Agreed. It’s definitely a greedy move.

….and yet I’ll most likely go see it again too damn it. They know what they’re doing.

@Mrcool210 - With the Morbius re-release and now No Way Home getting re-released but with new scenes, It seems like this may be the new strategy for Sony. If this is true then it is going to hurt them in the long term with future projects with people avoiding the first release and waiting for the complete edition with DLC later.

@Mrcool210 - good thing I didn’t buy the Blu-ray yet. I’ll wait for that version.

@Mrcool210 - it's pretty shady. Hopefully the scenes are finished, as opposed to the endgame rerelease.

@Mrcool210 - To be fair, they had no idea it would be AS big as it was. You can't predict that, especially on the tail end of the pandemic.

@Mrcool210 - "Oh really? You meme'd us into believing Morbius was popular and fooled us into re-releasing it and losing money in the process?

Well take that, audience!"

@Menks123 - let’s not forget what Marvel did with that Endgame re-realease with the unfinished Hulk CGI I don’t think this is only a Sony thing

So they had to fall for a f*cking meme in order to realize what we actually wanted 🤷‍♂️
But hey, better late than never.

@Spidey91 - People wanted the deleted scenes they were promised in the bluray, not having to pay for a movie ticket again, and having to buy the bluray again.

Hopefully they improve the cgi

Lizard looked worst than he did in Amazing Spiderman

Final battle Elctro looked like they pasted Foxx’s head on a video game body

Everyone else looked pretty fine

Some cgi shots of the spidermen can be improved

@dracula - I just thought it was funny how obvious it was they didn't want to animate the lizard anymore with him just deciding to stay in the truck.

Wonder when Elctro goes back to his universe, he going to have the gap in his teeth and comb over or was it turning into energy and reforming in general that changed him, not just the new type of energy he absorbed

Wonder are all the villains going back to the moment they were taken from (if so Otto is dead, he still needs to destroy the sun machine) or will they be showing up with their Peter in present day

Will each of them have their own timeline

Also will they be showing up at their world’s statue of liberty, or in Peter 2 and 3 and Norman’s case in the water
