SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME IMAX Poster Is Easily The Most Spectacular Teaser For The Movie Yet

Some Spider-Man: No Way Home posters have been far from amazing, but a new IMAX one-sheet is arguably far more spectacular as the wall-crawler swings through a mind-bending version of New York City...

Spider-Man: No Way Home's world premiere takes place on December 13, but it was confirmed on social media last night that critics will only be shown 40 minutes of the movie during press screenings. Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures are clearly doing everything possible to ensure spoilers don't leak online before the threequel's theatrical release, though you'll likely want to be careful that week, anyway!

Posters for the movie have been something of a mixed bag, but IMAX's latest effort is hard to fault. Using some unique visuals - while including the company's logo - this is one of the best teasers we've seen yet.

Moviegoers who watch Spider-Man: No Way Home in IMAX will find themselves totally immersed in IMAX-exclusive 1.90 aspect ratio, which provides up to 26% more picture, from beginning to end - a first for the wall-crawler's franchise. In addition to more picture, the movie has been digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of "The IMAX Experience" with proprietary IMAX DMR (Digital Re-mastering) technology, coupling crystal-clear images with IMAX’s customised cinema geometry and powerful digital audio, making it the ultimate moviegoing experience.

Check out the new IMAX posters for Spider-Man: No Way Home below:

"For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero's identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk," reads the new synopsis. "When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse."

Among the film's confirmed cast members are Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jon Favreau, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, J. B. Smoove, Benedict Wong, J.K. Simmons, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx. Based on the new trailer, we can now add Willem Dafoe, Thomas Haden Church, and Rhys Ifans to that impressive list of actors (fingers crossed for Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield).

Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives in U.S. on December 17 and in the UK on December 15.

@GoofBallAbe - Well it's atleast more creative than the posters made by their new intern that they have been putting out so far

@GoofBallAbe - Sony Picture's design team is trash. They probably fired everyone and replaced them with BossLogic.

The portrait one looks bad, landscape one is actually pretty nice.

LSHF - 12/3/2021, 7:03 AM
@RageDriver2401 - Yes, it's nice. It's just not "Spectacular".

Spectacular (adjective)
"beautiful in a dramatic and eye-catching way"

@ElricReturns - Not everyone reads everything, so I'm playing it safe. What's the worst that can happen? And it made you laugh, so it was worth it for that alone.

@RageDriver2401 - not sure if anyone at marvel has thought about this but Parker's swinging is based on gravity... and Strange showed each time you jump onto one of those angled city-scapes the local gravity takes place... which means as Parker gets close to each one his gravity and therefore trajectory of his swing would change.... it would look bat-shit crazy on film if they did that.

Maybe take out some of those buildings and the poster might look decent. The sunset swinging shot in the trailer was probably the most beautiful one.
All in all, I can confidently say that this movie probably had a collection of the worst posters for a blockbuster in recent years.

"The Most Spectacular Teaser For The Movie Yet."

The "most" spectacular? You mean, the others were also "spectacular"?

Hype? Let me check...

Spectacular (adjective)
"beautiful in a dramatic and eye-catching way"

Wow! You're right! That poster is BEAUTIFUL!

And since you stated that, it must be true, despite the fact that, more than likely, judging from the past, almost every comment on this poster will be negative.

The preceding was brought to you by sarcasm.

Luckily we’re long past the days where a poster was a huge selling point for getting people into see a film, because with these posters this movie would crash and burn
LSHF
LSHF - 12/3/2021, 7:02 AM
@Twenty23Three - Yep. There is not one single poster in my decades long history of going to the theaters that ever made ANY difference whatsoever. There is NO way a a poster can give me the needed information that I want before deciding to spend the time and money watching a film. But I'm not normal (I think). Hell, commercials don't even make a difference one whether I will buy a product or not.

I obviously have issues with marketing. I don't like commercials or any effort of any company trying to convince me I need to spend my money on their products.

B movies still have decent movie posters, but mainstream Hollywood loves their photoshop too much to actually make a decent poster

''SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME IMAX Poster Is Easily The Most Spectacular''

Well, the bar isn't a very high one at that. That said, I do like this one more than the rest (even though it still is generic)

@Ha1frican - BBut it can't be bad because J.W. said it was "Spectacular"!
