As expected, it appears the TV spots for Spider-Man: No Way Home will become increasingly more spoilery as we near the movie's release next week. There's a lot of new footage to be found here, including Peter Parker sharing a message with the entire world in which he takes responsibility for the arrival of the five villains who have started unleashing chaos in New York City.
Talking of the bad guys, we get a little more insight into why the Green Goblin so drastically changes his appearance in the threequel; somehow, his mask winds up being shattered, and we can't help but wonder whether Norman Osborn decides he no longer needs the Goblin telling him what to do. Their dynamic in Spider-Man was certainly unique, and is likely to be addressed here somehow.
The latest clip from the movie is a little lighter and comes our way from Good Morning America. Sitting atop the rooftop from Spider-Man: No Way Home's trailers, we see Peter, MJ, and Ned all discussing heading off to college in the wake of the wall-crawler's identity being revealed to the world.
Check out the new TV spots and clips for the movie below:
"For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero's identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk," reads the new synopsis. "When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse."
Among the film's confirmed cast members are Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jon Favreau, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, J. B. Smoove, Benedict Wong, J.K. Simmons, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx. Based on the new trailer, we can now add Willem Dafoe, Thomas Haden Church, and Rhys Ifans to that impressive list of actors (fingers crossed for Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield).
Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives in U.S. on December 17 and in the UK on December 15.
