According to Deadline, Sony Pictures has dated a pair of Marvel movies, and the rumor mill is already buzzing about the dates likely being booked for two of the most hotly-awaited films on their upcoming slate.
Untitled Sony/Marvel Films are now set for November 8, 2024 and June 27, 2025 - and will both open in IMAX.
While the release schedule is always subject to change, especially this far out, it's believed the November 2024 date is likely for Tom Hardy's Venom 3, which we recently reported was eyeing a Halloween 2024 release window.
Meanwhile, that June 2025 date is very likely the release date for their Spider-Man: No Way Home sequel, which will almost certainly return Tom Holland as Peter Parker.
Holland and producer Amy Pascal have teased development on the aforementioned Spider-Man 4 in recent days, and have remained relatively coy about its progress, with both stressing that there wouldn't be any further movement until after the ongoing writers' strike had concluded.
Currently, Sony has Kraven the Hunter set to open this October, followed by Madame Web in February and Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse in March 2024, although there have been recent rumblings suggesting the animated sequel could be pushed back. There's also an Untitled Marvel/Sony film set for July 2024 and while it's unclear whether anything will actually hit that date, it seems possible Sony is saving that space for El Muerto or they may just want a backup plan in case they have to move Madame Web or Beyond the Spider-Verse to the summer.
