Spider-Man has a pretty robust rogue's gallery and season two of Disney XD's animated series Marvel's Spider-Man has done a pretty good job highlighting some of the more well-known villains. Coming off his battle with Eddie Brock's Venom, it looks like Peter Parker will face off against a few lesser known baddies in what will shape up to be a four-part mini story arc spanning two weeks, appropriately titled Bring on the Bad Guys. In the episodes, a mysterious villain will put a bounty on Spider-Man's head, which results in an assortment of rogues trying to take out down the web-slinger.

The first two episodes of Bring on the Bad Guys (Part One and Part Two) will premiere tonight on Disney XD as part of an hour-long doubleheader. Disney has given us a sneak peek at the upcoming episodes in which Parker finds himself battling "some notably quirky villains" - specifically Hippo and Panda-Mania - in a subway tunnel.

Bring on the Bad Guys: Part 1 Synopsis:

When a mysterious villain puts a bounty on Spider-Man, he endures the attacks from Hippo, Overdrive, and Panda-Mania.

Bring on the Bad Guys: Part 2 Synopsis:

Anya must embrace becoming Spider-Girl when Spider-Man is lured into a funhouse run by Mysterio while the bounty on Spider-Man is still active.

Season 2 of Marvel's Spider-Man has featured some pretty big-named villains thus far, so it's nice to see some of the more obscure names get the spotlight. Bring on the Bad Guys Part 1 and Part 2 will premiere tonight, July 30, on Disney XD starting at 6:30pm ET. Part 3 and Part 4 will air next week on August 6 and feature Jack O'Lantern as well as the reveal of the mysterious villain who initially puts the bounty on Parker's head. Who do you think it will be?

@789 - This was actually pretty fun. Love me some C- and D-List villains.

I've seen better animation done by people on YouTube without any significant budget.
And don't get me started on the overly poor writing...

I assumed that they sacrificed detailed character designs for smoother animation, but nope, it looks bad, and it's choppy.
