Marvel Entertainment and DIsney XD have unleashed the first clip from their upcoming animated series Marvel's Spider-Man featuring a first look at teenage Spidey in action against the Scorpion!

In the immortal words of Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, "Spider-Man is Marvel's biggest character. He is the jewel on the crown. Such an amazing icon. He is a very different type of hero because he is quite simply: the greatest superhero of all-time."

Spider-Man: Homecoming won't be the only Spidey-related adventure hitting screens this summer as Marvel & Disney XD also have plans to launch a brand new animated series centered on the classic web-slinger, the simply titled Marvel's Spider-Man

The series will essentially serve as a reboot of Peter Parker's origin story and will follow him as a 15-year-old, who gets bitten by a radioactive spider, develops superpowers, and sets out to fight crime against the some of the best villains Marvel has to offer.

The first clip has been released featuring a first look at the rookie Spidey, sporting goggles and a red-and-blue hoodie, battling against the Scorpion. Check it out below:
