Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 Reveals First Look At Doc Ock, Lizard, Symbiote, And More

It appears Season 2 of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is embracing the comics in a big way, as a new look at artwork for the Disney+ series reveals more classic heroes and villains.

It's just been confirmed at D23 that Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man will return to Disney+ in January 2027. New artwork for the series was revealed, with showrunner Jeff Trammell saying that if Season 1 set the board, in Season 2, "we get to play the game."

In the first piece, we see Spidey striking a classic pose with the shadow of Doctor Octopus looming large in the background. Spider-Gwen is also featured, along with a character who appears to be Eddie Brock.

Lonnie Lincoln crosses paths with Harry Osborn, and Nico Minoru grows closer to Pearl Pangan. Aunt May and Norman Osborn are also included.

In the second piece, we have Doc Ock in his classic costume, Rhino, and The Lizard. A still was shown (you can see it below), revealing that Peter Parker will don the Symbiote suit in Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man Season 2.

According to Empire, "Footage shown in the room showed Peter battling Doc Ock, and his suit being repaired by the symbiote whenever it rips… A trailer showed Spider-Gwen, more Daredevil action, and Peter being subsumed by the Venom goo. Showrunner Jeff Trammell confirms it’ll lean more into classic Spidey villains. Expect more Rhino, Doc Ock, Lizard, and symbiote shenanigans." You can watch a snippet of that below.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man follows Peter Parker on his way to becoming a hero, with a journey unlike we've ever seen and a style that celebrates the character’s early comic book roots.

The talented voice cast includes Hudson Thames, Colman Domingo, Eugene Byrd, Grace Song, Zeno Robinson, Hugh Dancy and Charlie Cox.

The head writer is Jeff Trammell and Mel Zwyer is the supervising director. Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt and Trammell serve as executive producers.

In our review of the series, we concluded by saying, "Amazing, spectacular, and downright astonishing - Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man exceeds every expectation and is a true love letter to the world's greatest superhero...the end result is the ultimate Spider-Man TV series."

All episodes of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 1 are now streaming on Disney+.

I don’t know if I’m in the minority but I don’t get this series. It’s like the whole idea was to take a successful franchise/character and make it the okayest thing ever.

@NoobNoob - It’s an excellent series and a really faithful take on Spidey, with a present day spin. If you like the Lee/Ditko comics, you’ll love it.

Is this series still over the top gay and rife with woke propaganda. Quit watching after they turned Conners into a black woman. Straight trash. And that's coming from a diehard Marvelite. F this show

Just bring back Spider-Man TAS. This show was ass. Hell even Spider-Man: The New Animated Series was better than this.
