In Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Peter Parker has isolated himself from the world and operates out of a dingy (albeit surprisingly spacious) loft in his apartment building. In there, the web-slinger has a Villain Tracker Board, which is only briefly shown in the movie.
Now, though, the designer responsible for creating that has shared a full look at the many threats and menaces Spidey has spent the past few years keeping track of in the Big Apple.
Concept art features new looks at characters like Tombstone and Ramrod, while there are heaps of Easter Eggs, including references to villains like Hypno-Huster, Screwball, The Enforcers, and Foolkiller. Interestingly, the devil symbol seen on the tank in set photos also features, with Peter wondering what it means. Perhaps that was once set to play a larger role in the story?
One of the more intriguing references is a possible connection between J. Jonah Jameson and The Scorpion. In the comics, Jonah funds the procedure that gives Mac Gargan his superpowers, hoping he'll take the hero down and unmask him.
Jonah isn't featured in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and neither is Scorpion's origin, but this nod is sure to be appreciated by many fans.
Crucially, at the top of the board, we see that Peter keeps a reminder of his Aunt May's greatest lesson: "Great Power, Great Responsibility."
