We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead. It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be directed by Marc Webb from a script written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner and James Vanderbilt. The film will star Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as Aunt May, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Jamie Foxx is Electro and Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn. The Amazing Spider-Man sequel will swing into theaters May 2, 2014.

web-slinging, one area that both sets of films have done justice in.

Watched this five times. So awesome. It's like we're swinging with him. God, I wish I was Spidey. Minus the tragedy and mass murderers of course.

Ok it is awesome but I still don't get this bellybutton point of view...They should stick with POV from first amazing spiderman. I have very high hopes for this movie...I really liked new Captain [more than I thought I would] so this movie must deliver...I don't care about the critics but I want to leave the cinema with big smile on my face and rate this more than 8/10.

So very, very ready.

That clip shows why they went with the Amazing SpiderMan. I hope the whole movie has that same sort of fantastic feeling. Which I believe it will.

I feel like twy be shown the beginning to the middle of the film. I think they're hiding something for the ending that no one is expecting and that's why it's so easy for Sony to show all these clips and trailers. They've got something up their sleeves.

The score is mindblowing to me and it complements Spider-Man's most epic scenes I've ever seen so well, Zimmer has outdone himself again, I feel like this is a theme that I'll be humming along my entire life, truly amazing stuff.

About the marketing, there is no such thing as over marketing when a film looks as epic as this. People will go apeshit over this film if it's as amazing as the title and the trailers seem to make.
