THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 "Environment Shot Build" Video

Sony Pictures Imageworks has released a new "NYC Environment and Times Square Shot Build" video for Marc Webb's widely panned film The Amazing Spider-Man 2, or as I like to call it, "The Franchise Killer." Hit the jump to check it out.

We've always known that Spider-Man's most important conflict has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that his greatest battle is about to begin.

It's great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there's no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: Oscorp.

Stop with the ASM. It was horrible. Worst Spider-Man franchise ever. Didn't even make it past 2 movies. The sooner we forget about it, the better.

The movie is just convoluted, that's my issue.

Marc Webb was the wrong choice, Spider-man needs to be fun and cinematic, he's was just bland, he doesn't have the cinematic eye for it...

If TASM2 was good, Marvel wouldn't have Spidey in the MCU.

Hell even Spider-Man 4 was going to happen and had an official poster released for the film but Raimi got tired of Avi and Sony's shit and quit.

Shit movie.

TASM was a great movie but TASM 2 was very problematic and Webb wasn't really such a horrible director. if you see the featurettes and deleted scenes and even interviews the guy really has some great ideas. it was just sony messing things up.

i hope for a directors cut in the future

Can I say this movie looked [frick]ING AWESOME?

I know most of you didn't even watch the video, because you want to rightfully shit on this movie after almost a year as much as you can. But this is about the video they posted, let's talk about it, sounds right? I mean look at all the shit they did and all the pictures they took to build a digital Times Square, it looks completely believable and it most've taken a lot of [frick]ing work, sadly it was wasted on "The Franchise Killer". But seriously, this is not what we're here for: we're here to watch the pretty video about the impressive CGI. You can't say that CGI is bad, it's one of the best I've ever seen.

Anyone read the theory that Spider-Man's actually killed by Rhino at the end of TASM 2? Haha, it should officially be canon.

Not surprised to see most of these comments. smh lol If there's one thing I think anyone should give this film credit for is it's beautiful graphics and colorful atmospheres. Everyone makes mistakes, here's cheers to the new Spidey! :)

In summary-

Poor Sony, wah, wah wah. Mean ol' Marvel forced them to share Spidey.

No one can recognize or appreciate the genius of TASM2, wah, wah, wah.

Repeat ad nauseam

How can it be so hard to mark a good spidey movie... So much potential and yet we wait.

I would have been ok if it was Green Goblin v. Spidey for this whole movie. And then add the Rhino at the end, like they did. I thought that it looked fake and the lines felt forced. Plus the whole plot line of his parents was silly. The costume was amazing though and the death scene of Gwen, very emotional including the string of web becoming a reaching hand.
