3.I can't believe the Marvel Studio haters, this movie was awesome.

No matter how many people hate it, i enjoyed The Amazing Spider-Man 2. And isn't the most important opinion your own? as long as you like the movie then that's fine enjoy the movie, if you hate it, you can give arguments for why you hate it, but don't give other people crap for liking it, don't call them dumb or anything like that. Then again this is the internet. That is probably to much to ask

No he's dead. Though if he had of shown up at the end of the movie I really don't think it could made it any dumber than it already was.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 really was awful. The next one will not be as successful. People are growing tired of this crap.

"I've never read so many picky reviews! The movie wasn't perfect....GET OVER IT!!!"

This is a quote aimed at every fan who shows his frustration with the many flaws of any given superhero movie.

See, here's the problem with expressing your opinion about a comic book movie.
If you suggest that you don't like the concept sketches for a movie that is in the beginning stages of production, you're shouted down by those who scream that these are ONLY rough concepts and you shouldn't get so worked up about it. You're told stop being a hater, "It's gonna be an AWESOME flick!" See what happened there? THEIR opinion is perfectly valid, while your's is whiney and fan-boyish.

Then the casting's take place and you note that Actor X or Actress Y may not be right for the role. OMG, the responses explode. You're being soooo narrow-minded (they say); your such a troll: all you do is complain! Get over yourself – Actor X or Y were FANTASTIC in this other non-related movie and they'll be AWESOME in this movie too! Stop being a whiney fan-boy!

THEN the costumes for the lead characters start to be revealed. You express a wish that Superman's (or Haweye's or Rhino's or . . . fill in the blank), that his costume was a little more representative of the source material. OMG (part 2)! This time the responses get nasty. Listen you house-bound fan-boy jerkwad – this is a different medium! You idiot, what works in the comics can't work in the movies! Don't you know ANYTHING?!? How pathetic are you that you want bright primary colors for you super-friends coloring book movie. They stop just short of suggesting that you would only be happy if the costume had a slight hint of a four color printer's dot pattern to more FAITHFULLY display the character's superhero-ishness!
So THEN the big day comes and the movie is released. You mention that while OVERALL you enjoyed the movie, there were SO MANY elements that could have made MORE sense if they just gave it a little more thought. Sooo many elements that could have been more faithful (NOT EXACTLY VERBATIM, but more accurate) and it would have made for a better movie experience.
The last line of snarky attack is always, "Listen Fan-Wanker, the average movie going Joe doesn't give a rat's arse about source accuracy. So let Creative Vision Director-Man do what he wants. so that the movie is good. But that's just it.
THAT'S what this all comes down to. EVERYONE want's a high-grossing, wildly entertaining film. Everyone want's that. NOBODY wants a live action, primary-colored flop. Nobody.
The average movie-going-Joe just wants a great Summer flick and couldn't give two shots about the comic book faithfulness.
The average movie-going-comic-centric fan just wants a great Summer flick that represents as accurately as possible the graphically artistic stories he's been reading all his life.
You can satisfy BOTH.

You can do both.

Did ASM2 suck beyond all sucky super hero flicks? Of course not. But it did have major and minor flaws that did not need to be there. You can say that as long as it makes money who cares what we fan boys think.
Ask Sam Raimi if a more accurate representation of Venom may have helped usher in a Spider-Man 4.

(Please note: I am VERY aware of Spider-Man 3s other flaws - not the point here and now)

They are nit-picky but they don't hate CBMs in general..they liked Cap 2 for example.

@martinmarvel

These guys aee great for reviewing CBMs simply because they're NOT fans of comics. They totally give you the insight to the general audience and can still find many negative things to say about this terribly written movie despite not being cbm fans

Their criticisms have valid points. Can you seriously tell me why electro DIDNT come back after exploding? I mean..he did learn to rematerialize, as stupid as that was. Goblin WAS rushed only to cause Gwens death b/c the comics said so, so the idiot writers went along with it. And oh god, the subplot about peters parents was so stupid. It had no payoff or impact on the story. Its the first films fault really because it was literally marketed as "the untold story".

Well I know for sure they liked Cap2 a lot. Im curious, what did they nitpick in this movie that wasnt genuinely deserving of it? All the problems they had with it, they blamed on the writers. Their whole problem with the movie was that it felt like a 2hr sequence of collected scenes with no overarching plot. Theyre right, what wad the overarching plot?
LittleDanglyThing
LittleDanglyThing - 5/7/2014, 9:14 AM
LOL I love them so much.
I liked ASM2 but not because of the plot I just loved the Spidey scenes and the Gwen Stacy + Peter Parker scenes.
I'd rather watch a Romantic Super hero flick where it's mostly Peter and Gwen and minimal Spider-Man.

Thor 2 was solid as hell.
I still don't know why haters hated it.
Weird asses.

My favourite scene in TASM 2 is when we watch Gwen's speech about life and death through a Sony laptop which the camera puts gently into your face.
I think that says everything about the movie.

I actually feel embarrassed for liking this movie because it really does have a shit ton of problems Lol
I can understand the hate for this film because it really is in a lot of ways like Man of Steel except it's redeeming qualities can actually be a full length film on its own.
