Tom Holland Is All For His SPIDER-MAN Mentoring Miles Morales In The MCU

Tom Holland is totally okay with the MCU one day having Peter Parker mentoring a young Miles Morales- similar to how Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark mentors Peter in Spider-Man: Homecoming?

Will Miles Morales be introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe one day?  In the now-defunct Ultimate Comics universe, Miles arose to claim the Spider-Man mantle after the wall-crawler was taken out by the Green Goblin.  While not impossible, that's probably not going to happen in the MCU.  So could there be a case where both Miles and Peter exist in the cinematic universe at the same time?  If that occurs, Tom Holland is definitely for it.

"That would be something that I would be very up for doing, it’s something that I would really, really hope to happen. I think Miles Morales is a great character, I think it would be fantastic to have an actor of color playing a superhero on screen and I just think it’s going to be something very cool and something very exciting for this universe."

The way Holland speaks, it almost sounds as if it's not a question of "if" but "when".  However, that's probably just Tom's delight at the possibility influencing his statement.  As a big Spider-Man fan long before he ever landed the role, it stands to reason he'd be excited by the prospect of introducing Miles.

But there's also that Sony cinematic universe set to be established with Venom and a Black Cat/Silver-Sable team-up film.  Rumors speculate that Miles might be showing up there and not the MCU.

In the THIRD movie!
Let him be alone in the second film (WITHOUT any SHIELD influence).
THEN, after he's experienced, he can impart his vast, collected wisdom.

Great. If you're gonna do Miles do it right.

I think this Peter Parker has to age into the role a bit first. It would be too soon for him to mentor Miles at 18 years old or something...

Rethinking this statement... I honestly don't want to see Miles until Tom Holland is about to hang it up and we need another Spider-Man that doesn't involve a 4th reboot of Peter Parker.

@Kman - I would love to see Miles show up when Peter is married, and either with child(ren), or is expecting his first born. It would really add wait to Peter's character, and make people more welcoming of a new Spider-Man =D

When we are all old and grey (apart from Gusto as he already is) do we think we will look at Feige in the same light as we all do with Stan Lee?

Will he be historically as important to popular culture as Stan himself?

@UltimateCarnage - Ultimately, no. I think Feige will probably deserve to be seen that way, but Stan Lee was an aggressive carnival barker who loved the spotlight and made himself the face of Marvel in a way that Feige really doesn't.

Stan made himself the product. Feige just doesn't.
