The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

Juging from this and the 8 min preview...
Finally Someone that doesn't think that if you flesh out the characters
and story, that you have to go dark and gritty as well!

Im so tired of Nolan's Batman films being the only CBMs that go deeper than the
Generic "BANG" "POW" "FUNNY CATCHPHRASE" that all other CBMs sucumb to.

If more CBM directors attempted to do what Nolan and evidently Webb are
attempting to do, then maybe CBMs would start to get more respect outside
of the fanboy world.

This movie...
Looks to have Great Creative cinematography.
Looks to have great actors that actually put effort into their roles
Instead of having great actors just to add prestige.
Looks to have great writing.

TDKR HAS SOME COMPETITION!!!

Best said by the critic David Poland...
"Avengers looks like it was made for television
in a comparison of the [two] trailers and the Dark Knight Rises materials."

Really what I think brings out the epic feelings of TASM and TDKR is the great cinematography.
Sure The Avengers has epic concepts(the hulk scenes), but the Cinematography is so bland and generic.

Still, a little too heavy on the drama for my taste. Would have liked it to be a bit more fun. It's Spider-man not Batman.

I think I'm liking this more than the 'splosions filled Avengers trailer. Still can't wait for all 3 big CB movies.

the thing i love about this is how REAL all the stunts are. The webslinging seems natural and not CGI. Everything looks perfect and the suit looks pretty freaking awesome I'm not gonna lie.

Emma looks great as Gwen, I LOVED wise-cracking spidey. Lizard looks great in that close up shot of his eye, I'm hoping he gets more of a snout though like that scene at comic con in the bathroom with those girls.

I seriously think this will be the comic book movie of the year. Nolanites will love TDKR, while others feel its overrated. Avengers will disappoint CBM because of such high expectations (I know I'm gonna love it either way, but let's be real. It's only a 2/2.5 hour movie. People are gonna feel like characters got shafted... or plot got shafted. It's way too much to expect out of one movie but I hope it blows everyone away.) I think this will be the great movie that everyone agrees on.

BRING IT

Really good trailer, I really hope all 4 CBM's this year are epic. Lizard looked a little too CGI but im pretty sure theyll be working on him till the very last minute so I aint worried.
