Is it just me, or is that same guitar riff from Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me Kill Me (U2's song on that Batman Forever soundtrack)?

The sound is ok, but it doesn't scream Spiderman, in fact it doesn't even whisper it. Why the frick would you make something like this. Oh but I bet it'll be voted best new broadway musical for its sheer genius and risk taking. Gimme a friggin break.

It's Catwoman all over again. Let's make a new musical and call it "Spider-Man". We don't actually have to show any relationship to the Spider-Man that everyone knows and loves. We'll just suck the audiences in with the name. It's monumentally disrepectful.

I feel like people hate the idea of this muscial more than they hate the musical itself.

It will probably be mediocre at best, as most musicals are, but there's a lot of irrational hatred about something that won't really affect the character negatively, or the people complaining.

I don't understand your choice for capitalizing the word theater, if that is your way of writing the art form off as something less than film or television then I would not for one moment doubt that you are someone who would enjoy this travesty that is heading towards the New York theater district.

This musical looked bad on paper, sounds awful in this clip, and in my opinion is nothing more than a $55 million waste of Broadway space that will offer nothing more than spectacle and a bland story stuffed to the brim with too many villains...and the swiss miss.

If I were a parent I would never subjugate my child to this blasphemous piece of crap to be...I would show him vintage Stan Lee and Jack Kirby Spiderman, Bendis Ultimate Spiderman and the original animated series.

Spiderman: Don't Turn Off the Dark? PLEASE Turn off the Musical is more like it

If that song was any indication of what to expect, musically, they've failed to get me interested. The kid sounds too emo, making the song emo. Toby was emo in Spider-Man 3. I don't like Spider-Man 3.

No to an emo Parker.

the ONLY reason most of you hate it like someone has said is because its a musical, half of you probably didnt even watch it because you're just gonna go to every article of "Spider-Man the musical" and say how much you ahte whatever the article has to do with the show. whoever said the song sounds like a broadway musical song doesnt know what the hell they're talking about, so all broadway songs sound like U2? i mean you guys are the epitome of why some directors, writers, producers, studio execs, etc hate fanboys because you're ungrateful of everything you get. not saying we asked for this but you guys are so in denial and hatred you cant even acknowledge that this is like the 5th Spidey musical ever created! the only difference between this and past ones are U2 and broadway, thats it. so just because its anything related to Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark doesnt mean its always a fail, the song was good and proves its not traditional broadway showtune style but more rock and U2. you just cant admit that there might be one teeny tiny thing that interests you about this show and that it might work because you want it to fail horribly. well guess what.......its gonna make money because its a broadway musical about Spider-Man writtten by U2
