Supergirl premiered last night to polarizing reviews. And while I'll agree that it's and important show, does that necessarily make it a good one?

no it is certainly not the worst show ever. its not dark like arrow is or how flash is steering...but its far from bad.

No crossover was planned, people just assumed as much based on rumor.

As for it's existence "In the Arrowverse" regardless of crossover, it doesn't coexist (something the show made clear) in the same universe. If the shows DO crossover, it'll likely be the same way Jimmy Neautron and Timmy Turner met in the Jimmy/Timmy Power Hour, two universes that temporarily crossed paths

no, the worst show ever is easily "the Flash". The effects are cheesy, the stories are incredibly dumb and don't make much sense, the sets and production look like they're out of a bad smallville episode and the acting is terrible. Watching that series (my 10 year old daughter likes it) is painful.

Why do people keep comparing this show to Jessica Jones?

1. The shows tones are completely different.

2. One is a Netflix mini series aimed at teenagers and adults, the other is a network television series aimed at young girls.


If the show is going to be compared to anything it should be compared to something like iZombie.


Ok she's a Superhero now and fights villains, no [frick]ing shit that's the whole point, also her becoming a superhero was not her only goal.

This review would have been better with the title JESSICA JONES is better even though I haven't seen it yet.

I don't know. I think that sort of adds to its charm. It's cheap fun for me. Although some people are able to put it above Daredevil. Now that's just crazy.

I only like Dr. Harrison wells in that show, whoever plays him does a good job and puts the rest of the actors to shame. But I do agree with you, the writing is horrendous most of the time, with the exception of a few surprising scenes.

I don't care if your opinion was different than mines. But this review is just how should I say, Not the best thing ever. Personally I thought the pilot was ok at best but not the worst thing ever.

It would be spared from being the worst thing ever due to the existence of Gotham. But Gotham, unfortunately for Supergirl, has some pretty cool art design. Which makes it just a little less terribad than this trash.

No. You have not seen a lot of television shows if you think this show is the worst ever.

I'd give it a solid 7 out 10 which is fair, it has a lot of cliches and the I am woman hear me roar thing is shoved downed our throats a bit much.

It did it's job of getting the attention of girls to watch. The ratings went through the roof so a lot of people will be watching. I am sure it will have the same following the CWs Arrow and The Flash have but I don't expect it to be of the same grand quality that Netflix are known for.


I can't really see parents letting their kids watch something like Jessica Jones which will have a potential rape scene it and a bunch of gore and other scenes of violence.

Like I said, there is no question about whether or not the show is important. It definitely is. But just because a show is important to young women doesn't mean that show is good or should be exempt from criticism. If anything I'd say it has more of a duty to be a good series because of it. And I know that Supergirl can't pull off the adult material we will see in Jessica Jones.

But in truth, that's not what it needs. People falsely thought Daredevil was successful because it was gritty and violent. So was Oldboy (2013)... Daredevil was successful because it told a good story. And that's what Supergirl needs to do.

Ultimately Supergirl comes off more like a product rather than a piece of art.

I definitely don't need to watch this video to know Supergirl wasn't that bad and that Smallville, Arrow, and Gotham are all worse than SG first episode.
