Okay, everyone knows I've not been putting up good editorials lately. Everyone knows I'm not exactly pro DC (not a DC hater either) and for the most part, everyone knows I've got my problems with Man of Steel but think it's enjoyable as Michael Bay version 2. Yeah... not exactly what I want in a good Superman movie. Hell, my favorite is Superman Returns. I view that film as a standalone film while in a way, being the end of a actual Superman trilogy. That being said, it's clear I'm not really looking forward to Batman vs. Superman that much because of the return of Goyer and Snyder (Snyder should ONLY do the Superman trilogy! If it becomes just a trilogy) and all the rumors going around at the moment that screams more crammed characters than Spider-Man 3. While I still say for my own pleasure due to not liking Superman, that Doomsday should be the villain in the third specifically just so I can see Superman die. Anyway... here are five things that I'd like to see in Batman vs. Superman AND there is one that is rumored that I'm actually interested in.
5: "I want you to remember the one man who beat you"

Despite my interest in how I think Barry Allen could be put into Batman vs. Superman to help establish this as a shared universe, there is one thing I think would not only be more important to set the tone and stage for the rest of the DC Cinematic Universe but also just as a nice little fan service. Plus, The Dark Knight Returns is going to help inspire this movie. What would be cooler than to have Ben Affleck as Batman say "You're beginning to get the idea, Clark. We could have changed the world…now…look at us…I've become a political liability…and…you…you're a joke. I want you to remember, Clark…in all the years to come…in your most private moments…I want you to remember…my hand…at your throat…I want…you to remember…the one man who beat you". That my fellow comicbook fans would be truly an epic moment in comicbook history. This is also coming from a Marvel guy.
4: Batbots
This is the rumor I was talking about. I think this idea with the quote I posted above would actually be really interesting in Batman vs. Superman. Batman doesn't trust anyone. After the events of Man of Steel, do you really think he would trust Superman? No, I don't think so. If Batman is retired or semi-retired I think it would make sense for him to send these bots out and about on patrol to stop Superman. This is just my taste and I think it would be pretty cool and make sense.
3: Character development!
I had to put this in here simply cause it's my biggest gripe with Man of Steel. There is no character arc, no character development. Nothing. Develop the characters in Batman vs. Superman. If they f*ck this movie up then, they will never be forgiven and the DC Cinematic Universe will die. Batman needs development because this is a rebooted Batman, our MAIN character is Clark Kent/Superman. He sorely NEEDS development, develop his relationship with Lois. This is such a big booboo mistake from Man of Steel. Develop the characters! Make us interested and invested in them!
2: Kryptonite
I know this is a must because of the potential villain in Lex Luthor and the obvious fights that will be ensued with Batman. But, kryptonite is a must in Batman vs. Superman. It's not only time to introduce it but, it's important so it's believable that Batman has a chance against Superman and so Lex Luthor can pose as a threat. Hell, I am still holding out for Metallo to be an extra villain in the movie. I think that inclusion would be fantastic. But, that is just my opinion.
1: Bat suit laced with kryptonite
This is the time for Watchmen like visuals (especially with Larry Fong returning from Watchmen as the cinematographer) for the DC Cinematic Universe. It would look beautiful. The movie anyways. But, with an intriguing look like what Watchmen had, could you imagine a Batsuit in motion that is laced with kryptonite. Now, I believe that if it is laced with kryptonite that it should be noticeable throughout some of the seams. Not to mention that I think the metallic suit he wore in The Dark Knight Returns comic is absolutely dumb as hell.
Well, that's all I have today folks. What do you all think? Comment below.
