The folks from
On the Red Carpet recently caught up with the actor behind the popular 90s portrayal of 'Superman,' in the
Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman Tv series, Dean Cain, at the premiere of
Immortals. And of course, Cain commented on Warner Bros.'
Man Of Steel and it's new leading star, Henry Cavill. Check out what the actor has to say in the below video.
"I think it'll be a nice rebirth of the franchise," Cain told OnTheRedCarpet.com host Chris Balish. "I think (Cavill will) probably do a fantastic job. I really have no idea though, ask me after I see it and I can tell you a lot more. The role is a big, giant role, there's so much to it. He's a classically trained Brit so I understand. I think he's going to be fine. The challenges for him are going to be miniscule."
"I want to see this in [Immortals], see how it goes - I want to see how Henry does," Cain said. "I get a lot of questions about that kid, he's taking over the Superman mantle - I've never seen him in a film, and the film looks great, and I want to check it out and just see it. They wouldn't have cast him, I don't think, unless he was somebody with some substance."
Man Of Steel, under Zack Snyder's direction, stars Henry Cavill (Clark Kent), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Kevin Costner (Jonathan Kent), Michael Shannon (General Zod), Antje Traue (Faora), Julia Ormond (Lara Lor-Van), Russell Crowe (Jor-El), Harry Lennix (General Swanwick), with Christopher Meloni (Colonel Hardy) and Laurence Fishburne (Perry White). And while solid story details are currently being kept underwraps, the reboot releases on June 14, 2013!
