The ‘Man of Steel’ teaser trailer is set to debut on or before June 11th with official movie stills to appear in movie magazines and online before that date."

Release Date: June 14, 2013 (conventional and IMAX theaters)
Director: Zack Snyder

Starring: Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Russell Crowe, Ayelet Zurer, Christopher Meloni, Harry Lennix

The Superman franchise is resurrected in Warner Bros./Legendary Pictures “Man of Steel” from director Zack Snyder and producer Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight). Starring as Clark Kent’s adoptive parents, Martha and Jonathan Kent, Diane Lane and Kevin Costner. Squaring off against the superhero are two other surviving Kryptonians, the villainous General Zod, played by Michael Shannon, and Faora, Zod’s evil partner, played by Antje Traue. Also from Superman’s native Krypton are Lara Lor-Van, Superman’s mother, played by Ayelet Zurer, and Superman’s father, Jor-El, portrayed by Russell Crowe. Rounding out the cast are Harry Lennix as U.S. military man General Swanwick, as well as Christopher Meloni as Colonel Hardy. “Man of Steel” is being produced by Charles Roven, Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Deborah Snyder.

Great news. Expected something around the time TDKR comes out, a little earlier won't hurt as long as it's good and ready.

It's not out until summer 2013... its surprising enough we got a Hobbit trailer a year before its release.

You know it's going to be attached to The Dark Knight Rises, it would be an absolute marketing missed opportunity by Warner Bros. if they didn't.

My prediction is TDKR will have Man of steel and The hobbit trailer #2 attached to it.

WB's only major release in June is "Jack the Giant Killer".

Which certainly seems like a film they'd put big name trailers on.... it needs all the help it can get.

So it seems like the TDKR will have the trailer or teaser in front of it. Shit I say a quick tease now and a prologue before the TDKR/

TDKR is going to have the trailer attached to it.

but didn't i read that the Hobbit was geting pushed back because of filming delays and Superman was getting its old December 2012 spot back because Snyder is just zipping along with it.

6 MONTHS IS BULLSHIT THOUGH!

They'll probably put it with Jack the Giant Killer, just as a little "eff yew" to Bryan Singer for Superman Returns.

I hope this isn't the movie poster, looks a little too fake, I thought Superman Returns had an epic movie poster, but I still can't wait for the trailer for man of steel! I hope all this work of two years on a movie pays off! two years on a movie should have another villian other than faora! get metallo in there or something?

I have three awesome looking superhero movies to look forward too this summer. Not to mention two spy films and two fantasy films that I'm looking forward to are coming out in 2012. I have plenty of entertainment to occupy me in the meantime.

I think we should all wait 7 months and they can show the trailer in front of The Dark Knight Rises which may help (like it really needs it) sales of the film.
Moonwalker1991
Moonwalker1991 - 12/24/2011, 9:09 AM
Can't wait for this film. Superman needs to be done justice. Haven't seen a decent Superman film since the Original in the late 1970's. Not crazy about Zod being the villain, but if it's done similar to how he was portrayed in Smallville, which was awesome, with a sick showdown between Clark and Zod in the finale, I'm all for it.

Saw Henry Cavill in "Immortals", and he's freaking awesome. Can't wait to see his portrayal of Clark Kent/Superman, cause I know he's going to deliver, more so than Routh and his emo behind in Superman Returns. Ugh.

Is it really gonna take too much effort for WB to pan over a giant yellow S and draw it out for at least 30 seconds and attach it to TDKR?

The movie doesn't come out for another year and a half.I wasn't even expecting a trailer until next fall, or in July during ComicCon at the earliest.
