Our friends over at Superman: Man of Steel (2013) have come across some information from Robert Gerdisch's IMDB page. The actor is listed as playing Whitney Fordham, and a photo of the actor posing with director, Zack Snyder. Just being listed on IMDB isn't enough, but the photo pretty much puts it to bed.
So who is Whitney Fordham? At first if you're a fan of Smallville you might think this could be Whitney, but that character's last name was Fordman. But, that doesn't mean it can't be the same character. Perhaps on IMDB that is a typo, or Zack Snyder wanted to change the last name to differentiate from the Smallville version of Whitney. That Whitney is the star athlete and a rival to Clark for Lana's affection. So, we could be looking at the thorn in Clark's side.
Man Of Steel, starring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, Russell Crowe, Laurence Fishburne with Christopher Meloni and Harry Lennix, the reboot is slated for theaters June 14th, 2013!
