Cosmic Book News has been told that Faora also will be behind creating a new Kryptonian bloodline to jumpstart Zod's New Krypton.

As news has been a little short coming out as of late on the Man of Steel, I'll share the following from our source (again, keep in mind this is all speculation for now).

"Some CGI test shots of a Metropolis skyline were done this week [of April 10th], mixing the Vancouver and Chicago skylines for plate shots and exterior shots during the film."

"Identifiable buildings were replaced by key buildings from the script such as LexCorp Tower and the Daily Planet Building."

Superman flies into theaters December 2012 directed by Zack Snyder starring, Henry Cavill as the Man of Steel, Diane Lane as Martha "Ma" Kent, Kevin Costner as Jonathan "Pa" Kent, Amy Adams as Lois Lane and Michael Shannon as Zod.

What do you think?? could we see a new movie that involve a superman like this... come on and share your opinions.... (source cosmicbooknews.com)

This has the potential to be a great movie, the cast is great as we know they can all act, I think Vigo Mortensen would make a great Lex, all that said hopefully we can get the Superman movie we all crave, some action and fighting

I wish everyone would get off Zack Snyder's back, the guy is an accomplished director, he didnt write the script and Superman needs a director with a creative eye or would you rather have Bryan Singer again???

SKOne - 5/12/2011, 11:22 AM
Zack Snyder knows what he's doing when someone is there to corral his creativity. I think that Warner Bros is taking a step in the right direction by not having Lex Luthor as the main villain of the movie. We've seen him a bit too much at this point. I really hope that Lex gets his power suit or that he is controlling Brainiac or someone else when he becomes the main focus. We really need to see something different from him.

I have a strong feeling that a lot of the important story scenes for Sucker Punch were cut by the studio so they could add more to the CG sequences.

@sh4ko
I don't know if you meant for the S shield to be blue but it looks really awesome.

jimoakley666, Dont say Bay please lol I dont agree with you however I argee that you have the rite to express how you feel about the film and im not trying say you have to agree with me but Singer is a good director with a script that has been given to him by the writers of the dark knight etc and Nolan will be keeping tabs on him thats for sure. Dont get me wrong I enjoyed Singers superman movie, but it could have so much more than a Super Stalker who hardly spoke, a land obsessed Lex, a Superman who didnt throw a punch, and a lois lane who was so unatural it actually hurts
We have been promised none of that, all im saying bud is give the guy a chance, everyone deserves that at least

People hated on my article from before but it hinted at Zod wanting to make Earth into a "New Krypton"

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/LP4/news/?a=36440

"It leads me to believe that we might see more focus on Superman's Kryptonian heritage," Younis said in an email. "Maybe even an attempt by Zod to make Earth a new Krypton, or at least an attempt to stamp his authority over the planet."

People hated and hated and hated on my article but there we go this just goes to show I was RIGHT

@jimoakley- WHAT??? You'd rather have Singer come back? GTFO of here with that bullshit. [frick] singer. He nearly killed Superman with the last film. Michael Bay is better than Singer, at least Bay's Transformers films kept me awake for longer than 10 minutes.

@TheIrishSuperman- Forget it dude, no use debating with the Singer-ites. They don't care that Singer's Superman film was- boring, emo and whiney. Superman never threw a punch, never spoke a [frick]ing word. Lex was campy as FU*K and only wanted land yet again...fu*k Bryan Singer and his film- "Stalkerman Returns"

At least with Luthorcorp in the film we are assured that Lex Luthor will be given back his balls...the very same ones Singer removed in 2006.

Fu*k singer

@sh4ko - That second poster is SWEET! Love how the suite has kinda a carbon fiber pattern on it!

I just hope we start hearing some real info on this movie soon. Since Smallville ends tomarrow we might start to hear something in the next week or so.

jimoakley666 - Lets leave the Irish slang to the Irish mate LOL I can see were your coming from with Singers take I grew up with Donner's take on Superman and Singers film was a nice tribute, however Donners take is no longer relivant, I am a huge fan of the comic books and want I want to see the Superman from the books on the big screen, villians Superman can actually fight with, a Lex that isnt an underground criminal with a bald complex but a business tycoon intent on destroying someone who is more powerfull than him, a confident Clark, more emphasis on Krypton etc.. All im saying is think out side the box (Donnerverse) as that is not the True sumperman but one mans take on it, Sure even Singer said himself that he could have done a lot better with Superman Returns

jimoakley666 - LOL Sorry Mate I just read on your post telling the guy "KISS ME ARSE" its typiacl Irsih Slang, All star Superman was good but a but I perfer "Birthrite" it just seemed more up to date rather than clinching to the past better to the future buddy

The question is what are they basing the story on. I need to know these things. I so hope it's Birthright with a bit of earth one thrown in.

@jimoakley- Kiss MY ass. Superman Returns BOMBED for a reason. If you prefer Superman to go back to being a boring, emo, whiney guy who doesn't throw a punch...an oh is also creepy and stalkerish, then DON'T SEE THE NEW MOVIE. Obviously it's not a film you're gonna like.

Oh and no i don't blame Donner. Donner made a Lex for the 80's...a very campy time era. Singer kept Lex with the lame old campy 80's version and that's why he's to blame for it NOT Donner. If Singer's film was made in the MODERN days he should have allowed Lex to evolve into a more modern threat but he chose to stick with the "donner formula" and that's why the film got rebooted.

Singer made a Superman film in 2006, with an increase in source material and tech his Lex SHOULD HAVE BEEN way better than what it was. Still he was campy.

oh and obviously you never read "Birthright" you probably don't even read Superman comics. I read birthright back in like 2007. But obviously since you loved "Superman Returns" that says it all right there.

@jimoakley- No, you started the trash talk. I just said GTFO with the crap about SR. YOU'RE the one who started the real trash talk about kissing your "arse" or whatever.

In any case I'm not some kid, you don't know anything about me so don't judge me.

And if you actually ARE in your 30's you should feel ashamed for the way you're talking. Kinda shameful for a 30 somethin year old to trash talk someone a bit younger. I'm in my mid-20's. I've served in the military (i'm not skinny either) and I've done labor jobs all my life before that. I've read Superman comics my entire life so obviously i know a thing or two about the [frick]ing character!

Also- YOU'RE the one who shits on people for not liking the same things as you. END of discussion.

So these are fan posters?
They're all well done, but have some complaints about the first one...
Superman's size in comparison to the Daily Planet globe is way off. The globe should be bigger.
Also, that plane looks like it's about to crash. Why isn't Superman saving it?
mastarockafella
mastarockafella - 5/15/2011, 1:12 AM
@BeardManly: I totally agree with you. That's exactly my thought too. Superman is not proportion to the daily planet globe. That globe should a way lot bigger. It would be cool if Superman is flying towards the plane. Maybe someone can photoshop it.
