New MAN OF STEEL Production Art

AICN have debuted 4 awesome new images from the upcoming production book Man Of Steel: Inside The Legendary World Of Superman. Two are variations on shots and images we've seen before, but the others might be considered a little SPOILERY.

In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question 'Why am I here?' Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat emerges. Clark must become a Man of Steel, to protect the people he loves and shine as the world’s beacon of hope – Superman.

Man Of Steel will be with us June 14th, 2013.

Well, you'd be surprised what people consider spoilers! Those last coupe of pics..particularly the one with Clark looking at his suit with all the other...things hanging there are stuff we haven't really seen before. Best to pit the tag on just in case.

I'll be seeing it on the 11th..which is only 3 days before official release but I'll take it!

I've got a gut feeling this is going to be the best representation of Superman ever.

I think Krypton is going to be STUNNING in this film visually. From what i've seen from Krypton so far, it looks to have a very HR Giger, ancient, organic, art nouveau look to it which I LOVE.

That's why I prefer films like Alien and the ORIGINAL Star Wars because it has a very worn, gritty dirty look to it and MOS seems to be following that similar route.

I'm also glad that Krypton doesn't like Asgard with the perfect, pristine, golden, shiny, clean buildings and waterfalls. I'm glad it has a bit of grit to it. (I have nothing against the look of Asgard because it works for that film and the 'lighter' tone Marvel has set up)

@ speno94

I think thats what Alan Taylor is going to do with Asgard in Thor: The Dark World. He wants to get away from that shiny new look and make everything feel more Ancient, grity, and earthy.

The suit is already tailor made for him on the alien ship.

That looks like Lois on Krypton..huh?

And I do love that first image. I could totally see a scene in the movie from a first-person perspective of seeing this guy in a cape floating down from the sky to save someone. THAT would be REALLY unique use of camera angles, the perfective of the person being saved.

One thing I love is that Zack gets that Superman is a sci-fi story. We see that represented in the comics, but aside from the brief bit at the beginning of the 78 Donner movie, we don't see that represented in the movies.

The fact that we get to spend a considerable amount of time on Krypton at the begging of MOS is thrilling, and I cant wait for it. I hope sequels in the franchise push that idea even further.

Great art. From what we've seen in the trailers, they pretty much stayed true to the production art. Will make a great coffee table book.
