The Facebook fan page, http://www.facebook.com/Superman.in.2013 , has given be a heads up to talk to a guy named Gregory Zonsius who stated the following things:

711 is actually wired now and will be blown up. From an alderman in Plano, Sears is going to have a train come barrelling through it, then the facade will be rebuilt and another shot. The styrofoam train is being stored in Sears.


Someone or more than 1 from crew told said Superman, Zod and Faora will be in the big fight also along with the military. This is when Supes learns more about certain powers he has. helicopters where the military repels from will be on 8/25. Tentatively extended filming til 9/2,trailer filming in Plano is monday 1-8. some of this stuff is in comment threads.

Helicopter info. The alderman told me they were looking for a place to land it in Plano and they will be landing in a parking lot a little bit NW of the filming.

I am waiting for confirmation on everything, but as far as I know this is all true.

I actually think Zod and Faora are gonig to be trying to help Superman protect himself against the military in this scene. I think they're going to attempt to convert him to their side, as he's one of three surviving Kryptonians alive. I have a feeling Zod is going to mentor him, similar to Ra's al Ghul in Batman Begins.

you know there won't be a trailer or preview for this movie til The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters. I'd be surprised if it was shown sooner then at that movie.

DAMN! Lots of damage will be done! First round of shooting and already there will be maad shit getting blown up! Sounds good to me!

Oh, and if there's a teaser trailer before TDKR in the theaters I will be there opening weekend JUST to see that teaser on the big screne!! lol

I hope the casting rumor about tomorrow i heard on imdb is true. I wanna see Jimmy get casted already...IF he is in this film. Though I heard they might treat Jimmy Olsen the same way Nolan has treated Robin in his Bat-films.

I sure hope not.

@thereverendjonnynemo LoL yeah that was a real WTF moment; however, I doubt it's anything like that, more likely it will be his first time using super breathe or heat vision. I find it to be somewhat odd yet interesting that Supes will still have some powers undeveloped even after donning the the red cape and all.

@Superman8- VERY exotic idea! He actually fits the bill quite nicely. Right age for an "early days" Superman indeed...plus he's a ginger and he seems like an ordinary kid who gets screwed all the time. Just like Jimmy from the 60's comic series- "Superman's Pal"

Very nice suggestion. Plus he's british to match Cavill hahahaha kidding ;P

@Superman8- IF Rupert Grint got the Jimmy role he'd be THE MOST Jimmy-looking choice ever made.

Plus he already works for WB on the potter series it just makes sense. With Potter ending soon...it would be a wise career choice for Grint to hope aboard the Superman bandwagon. Going from one huge franchise to another.

This guy SCREAMS Jimmy Olsen.

I'm glad you like the suggestion. I like your break down. It does make sense on multiple levels like you said. I won't hold my breath though. These are the same guys who casted Fishburne as Perry White. I'd love to see comparison of all the different comic/tv/movie versions. It would be very interesting hahaha.

Still wondering who they might choose for jimmy...LOL

But yeah your suggestion was really great, I loved it. He looks the most like Jimmy i've ever seen.

The one thing i give all those actors credit for though is they all got the hardcore- nerdy aspects of jimmy down PAT!

But dang jimmy is more than just a lovable nerd. I'd love to see some of the more...jimmy physical attributes come into play...

i mean if not the freckles (might be hard to come by) at least get a red-head. ;D

Cool thing with Rubert though as you pointed out- look closely he's got some freckles!!!

With his ginger-hair and he's a great actor WORKING FOR WARNER BROS!!!

I personally thought Jack Nicholson would have made a great Perry White. He's got that smartass intensity and sarcasm that i like in Perry White.

And yeah i agree w you about Jimmy. He needs to be more than just a dork. Idk if you saw the Superman Doomsday animated movie, but i liked their take on Jimmy in that movie.

And yes, Grint might be the perfect choice.
