More Possible Character Choices for Smallville's "Society"

Who else may be coming to show Clark how to be a hero.

Geoff Johns recently twittered:
@GeoffJohns0 Cast two Justice Society members today. :)

But who could those people be. Kryptonsite has spoiled some clues revealed below:

Kryptonsite reveals:
At least one of the Justice Society members appearing has been replaced by a woman in their superheroic identity at some point in comics history.

The only people I can think of are Hawkman, Doctor Fate, and Doctor Midnight

Due to the fact they probably wont be using extremely less known people we can take out Doctor Midnight. Also the male Doctor Fate is the most known one so they probably wouldn't bring in the girl. So I think it will be Hawkman.

Also Kryptonsite states:
At least one of the other characters appearing is known to wear a helmet from time to time.

This could mean Doctor Fate, Flash(Jay Garrick),Citizen Steel, and Atom Smasher

Due to the fact that Smallville likes to suck the awesomeness from everything we can take out Citizen Steel and Atom Smasher. So this leaves Doctor Fate and Jay Garrick. The executives already revealed that they will not be using Jay Garrick so this leaves Doctor Fate.

So in a perfect world this might actually work. But due to the fact that Smallville won't shell out for making Hawkman or Doctor Fate as awesome as they could be, we will probably see some let down version of them in leather jackets.

I'm a fan of Smallville, I really do like it and see potential in this season. But from what was seen in "Legion" we can't expect a Hawkman with wingss or a Doctor fate with an awesome suite. I hate to be mean but we have to face the facts.

Whoever it is will most probably be joining Star Girl due to the fact that Geoff Johns revealed that one of the DC characters in this episode is "a girl. Who likes stars."

If it is those Three im Happy!
Dr.Fate Will only The helmet in battle,Stargirl will wear a half-top,Hawkman will wear the wings under his shirt(think angel from the X-men).
Geoff Johns does love those Characters!

BY THE WAY EVERYBODY. MY CHOICES ARE JUST SPECULATION. I DO NOT KNOW IF DR. STRANGE, HAWKMAN, OR STAR GIRL WILL BE IN THE EPISODE. BUT THE STATEMENTS BY KRYPTONSITE ARE TRUE.

@NightAvenger- i think you're still thinking too much. I belive Dr. Fate will a full blue leather suite and a smaller helmet(or mask).

Hawkman will probably just be able to fly and have an ancestor that was like Hawkman(but the wings are possible).

And due to the fact that these people are supposed to be older, i doubt Star Girl will be wearing a half-top. She'll probably wear a long shirt with a star in the middle.

They should have three of the original JSA or not bother!!

[frick] no to STAR GIRL, CLARK ain't even SUPERMAN yet!!!

There is no STAR GIRL, STAR MAN yes lol.

Im really worried their gonna [frick] it up!!

An i doubt HAWKMAN will be one, this is SMALLVILLE we're talking about.

DR FATE would be cool though! ; )

@BatmanKnight-Yeah you're right(still though?)
They do kind of have a leather fetish dont they? :)
But he did say "A Girl" not "A Woman" which kinda contradicts what He said about the episode(an older generation?)
If Hawkman has wings they wont be shown until the end
Citzen Steel would be cool though!

Didnt he also say they would be old heroes showing the new ones how to kick ass? How is star girl old?

I know what you mean @Teabag

Legion was good but it could have been done so much better. The actors they chose were good but they should have actually looked futuristic, instead of kids with a weird taste in fashion.

And of course Cyborg was pretty terrible. Cyborg isn't even a part of the JLA, hes a Teen [frick]ing Titan. What the hell!

Star Girl actually is a member of the JSA but she wasnt an original member.

You forgot Wildcat when talking about who's been replaced by a woman in their career.

I really hope we see him. WILDCAT! That'd be so awesome. But like you said, Smallville would probably just suck the awesomeness right out of it.

As much as I like jsa they're going to suck big time on smallville. It's a simple fact of life.

There is another character that was replaced by a female
for awhile and that was WILDCAT! I think it's going to be
Wildcat, Stargirl, and Dr.Fate!

Wildcat would be really cool for Smallville! But it might
be the younger version of WILDCAT, who is in the JSA now,
and who changes into a panther-boy! He's the illegitimate
son of the Ted Grant Wildcat.

The female Wildcat was Yolanda Montez.

The Dr. Fate that will probably be on Smallville will be
the new Dr. Fate, also known as just simply, FATE! His
name is Kent V. Nelson and is the young descendant of the
original Dr. Fate!

He wears a tight black leather-looking costume now in the
comics so he probably will be wearing the proverbial
black leather on Smallville with some kind of a
modernistic take on the helmet! It's going to of course
be the CW 90210 version of the JSA! What else?

So we know its Stargirl and not Wonder woman? Isn't Wonder-woman project dead so they could use her (that was the reason we got Ollie and not Bruce).

I'd so like to see Alan Scott :P course there is a MAJOR bias there.

Why no Jay Garrick? Sometimes its hard to stay with this show because of the refusal to give fans what they want to see.

No matter who they bring on Clark wont fly and everybody will wear black-leather...I'll still tune in.

CAPBIGGESTFAN: A fight between Clark and Cpt. Marvel would be great if you or I was directing it. Remeber the Doomsday fight scene... need I say more? Lois ,Lana, and Tess have more realistic fight scences than Clark.

hewill@ its a rights issue. same reason they cant call the barry allen guy "flash". they have to call him "impulse". its a legal thing. thats why you dont see wonder woman and batman. i know they are all owned by dc and worners but there are licensing agreements and creators agreements etc.....damn lawyers.

THIS MUCH BUZZ ABOUT SMALLVILLE CLEARLY SHOWS ITS TURNING AROUND..BY THE WAY...HAWKMAN OR DOC FATE WOULD BE EXCELLENT...DONT SCREW UP THE COSTUMES
hourman78
hourman78 - 10/19/2009, 3:27 PM
They are probably going to go with low-key chracters...since we know Stargirl is there, I would say the most likely candidates would be Wildcat, Hourman, Sandman and Dr. Fate...possibly the Atom.

samd577 - 10/19/2009, 5:26 PM
as not such a hardcore comicbook fan, I can see Hawkman being in it, as he is probably the most well known stand alone character. Also, Clark has made a big deal in a couple of episodes this season about not being able to fly, so a flying character would likely be used to emphasise this. They did the same thing with the Legion and Kara.
