CW reports:

"SMALLVILLE delivered its largest audience (2.62mil) and best adults 18-49 (1.1/4) of the season.

In fact, this was our best performance in the time period in these categories since our last Smackdown on 9/26/08.

Adults 18-34 remains steady at a 1.1/4.

SMALLVILLE ranked second in the hour among men 18-34 (1.3/6) and men 18-49 (1.3/5), beating the big 3.

Versus comedies a year ago, SMALLVILLE is up by 38% in adults 18-34, 117% in men 18-34, 38% in adults 18-49, 117% in men 18-49 and 46% in viewers"

Smallville's fifth in the ranking I'm not sure if that's good news to you guys. Considering that it needs to double its viewers to reach the show in fourth place, and considering the show in fourth place is Ugly Betty(maybe I need to watch Ugly Betty).

No. 1 in the ratings was Jennifer Love Hewitt's Ghost Whisperer. 2nd was the game between the Angels and the Yankees. Third was Law and Order.

There's this ominous feeling that we are seeing the end of days of Smallville, well I guess it had a good run and I hope there are others that will take its place... cough... cough... Green Arrow spinoff... cough... wink... wink
-access out, God speed

Well, keep in mind that Smallville is on the CW, which doesn't pull in as many viewers as the Big 4.Hell, some parts of the country can't even get the CW.Smallville doesn't have to worry about keeping up with network shows, they just have to get more viewers than any other CW show.I think it may be just behind the Vampire Diaries, so it's doing good.

I think Ugly Betty, which has always been a popular show, should be worrying.Their ratings have never been that low.

Well it does feel like they are working towards that. With bringin in crack prostitute speedy, and now dark archer. Who knows.
But it also seems they are establishing the "lois and clark" universe. The focus lies very heavily on lois and clark. And now they're bringin in Cat Grant. Wait a few episodes and we'll hopefully see Perry White!

They won't make a JL or JSA TV series, ever!
It would be way too expensive to produce!
But a Green Arrow series with a sidekick and a
mentor and non super baddies would be easy and
cheap to produce!

It DOES all come down to the bottom line with the
suits!
