The mystery man seen in Clark's family emblem/crest may be Jor-El. There is talk of Jor-El appearing on Smallville this season. This makes sense as the orb was more than likely a Jor-El creation.

I know that Tom Welling could very well pull off Supes in
a Superman movie but I think they should give Brandon
another whack at it! But this time with a good director
and good script!

I also wouldn't mind seeing Erica Durance as Lois Lane in
a Supes movie! Of course she is so beautiful I wouldn't
mind seeing her in any movie! :D I think she is slumming on
Smallville but she sure embodies Lois Lane, to me!

They shouldn't bring Jor El in person on Smallville! Big
mistake!

Cavill's not tall enough. Supes is 6'3"-6'4".
Henry's only 6'1". But he could be Batman!

I guess the story they're working with kind of makes it make sense.

Right you are Tea@, Henry could very well play Supes,
I just personally prefer someone about 6'4" to make Supes
seem even more impressive! But of course they can surround Henry with shorter ppl and make him look very impressive!
Cavill definitely has the acting chops to pull it off!
I'm not vehemently opposed to him! Starting new with a
reboot seems the right way and Henry would fit the bill!
But I would like to see Cavill play Batman in the JL movie!
