Smallville's Sexy Speedy Revealed

Green Arrow's sidekick will have her live debut in Smallville... and she's prettier than Roy could ever be.

Unfortunately no character picture yet just the name of the actress to portray Speedy.Elise Gatien is reported by Kryptonsite to play the Mia Dearden version of Speedy. This will be a big change from comic continuity where Roy Harper was the first Speedy and sidekick of Green Arrow. Though we never expect Smallville to adhere to comic continuity.

OLIVER TAKES DC COMICS’ CHARACTER SPEEDY UNDER HIS WING — Oliver tries to help a young street girl, Mia AKA Speedy (guest star Elise Gatien), get out of her dangerous life by offering to train her, but Mia double crosses him. Lois asks Clark to help her land a job as an on-air television host, but the two are shocked when the station wants to hire them as a team. Allison Mack, Cassidy Freeman and Callum Blue also star. Posted on KryptonSite. Mike Rohl directed the episode written by Holly Henderson and Don Whitehead.

ACCESS @ But ROY came first dude, unless this is not the same female SPEEDY in the comic books of course??

Still on a good note, bringing in SPEEDY brings up why???

An i reckon the answer is = GREEN ARROW spin-off series, with BLACK CANARY too, its building up to it, i reckon, hey it could happen!

Thumbs up though, we knew a female was coming, now we got a face! Hey cant wait to see what the JSA will look like lol.

When Michael Rosenbaum left, I knew this show was over. This Certainly doesn't raise my confidence in this show. I must admit, i didn't know that the speedy persona was also donned by a girl. A green Arrow show would be cool though

DOOMSDAY said it all lol, i love the show but their [frick]ing up to much now, just hoping we'll get a couple of DC Spin-off shows outta it now once SMALLVILLE's over!



MARIO @ Yeah, an a bit more reality based with the feel of CSI/NYPD BLUE mixed in, in STAR CITY. A GREEN ARROW show would be a killer!!

I reckon though the JSA episode gonna be the big one this year!! Theres gotta be a reason all these DC appearances in SMALLVILLE, i see a lot of Spin-offs, one-offs and Pilots outta it, once its gone!

She's smokin' as is Autumn Reeser..

I doubt that she's going to be his actual sidekick, just sort of introduced somehow..

Timeline doesn't really matter in Smallville anyways.. The show is its own entity, if there was a 'Smallville' comic book and then they didn't follow that, then I'd be pissed.. But there isn't one, this is just one of the many takes on Superman..

For example: All Star Superman, Clark gives Lois some Kryptonian powers for her birthday and she becomes Superwoman.. If this even remotely happened in Smallville, I think people would be up in arms.. But it's coming from comic source material..

Get over it.


They chose to go with the female version, yea it doesn't go with continuity......but the whole show doesn't. This is a re-imagining of the Superman mythos....if that's over your head, then don't watch the show.

Smallville hasnt been too bad so far but its been going downhill ever since Season 5! I dont read DC so I had no idea that Speedy was a guy but this girl is pretty damn hot so Id rather look at her than some spotty guy, lol! :)

I'm surprised this show's still on the air. Why don't they make movies for all these DC characters if they can have them on this show? It woulda been a motivation for movies of Green Arrow, Flash or even Zatanna to happen. That chick sure is cute though.

Possibly one of the lamest Characters of all time.... right up there with Krypto! Robin from Frank Miller's TDKR would destroy her after a year of training. I hate Knockoffs like this. If i wanted hot i would by a PentHouse... this is just bad story. Or its the Whiskey taklin... hell i will bet on both.
