"Warlock" to Play Jor-El on Smallville

Julian Sands, famous for his role in Warlock, will appear on at least one episode of Smallville as Jor-El!

According to Entertainment Weekly, Julian Sands will appear in the November Smallville episode "Kandor" as Jor-El. Apparently, Jor-El arrived along with the other Kandorian Kryptonians, including the villain Zod. Only Jor-El's voice has been heard until now, which, coincidentally enough, was voiced by Terrance Stamp, the actor who portrayed Zod in Superman II. Currently, Sands is only expected to appear as Jor-El in one episode.

I remember Warlock, Withnail was in it too! Sands is pretty good..well, good at the upper class, snooty English schtick anyway, will suit Jor El.

Lets be honest we have all done something really stupid in the past where we knew we were wrong and selfish and disrespectful. Thats when people usually try to blame the drink or drugs , but in Ratner's case he blamed the comic book fans. Then people try to say that they dont care what others think and that they were just trying to have fun. But they always know that they were wrong and just being a bad person/director. At his age and the scope of his transgression i can only ask ...... Brett, doth your Douche Baggery know no bounds? Bad Form sir, bad form indeed.

oh and Tweet this , "HI my name is Brett Ratner, and i am a douche." Take the first step towards all of our healing.

Sicerely, Shibazz Jenkins

Thanks, tea! In case it's not clear, the background is supposed to represent his past (on the left) and his present (on the right). I was told to make it "sort of" look like Julian, without looking exactly like him for some sort of legal reason.

@Superdog, Stamp is a white-haired old man now and is not physically right for Jor-el anymore. I happen to think that Sands is a pretty good actor, he was great in the Warlock movies!

And speaking of Smallville...man, that Vampire Diaries they replaced Smallville with on Thursday nights is sure a pile of poo poo! Crud, I think it may be even worse than "Twighshite"! (I watched about half of it last nite---was forced to turn the channel---just to check it out and yikes it's a massive mountain of manure! Jeez!

Of course I've never seen "Twilight", but what I've glimpsed of it, Vampire Diaries seems way worse! Altho it's like comparing two dog turds that someone's wretched pooch left on your lawn!

My only worry is this incarnation of "major" Zod. Just seems like a lot they're gonna have to explain just for his character alone. There are a lot of good posibilities with this season. I hope they have another justice league episode. That was definitley one of the coolest ones they've ever done.

Old and saggy Stamp for Jor-El? You bet! The show sucks now anyway! Stamp's prescence would only raise the bar, not lower it. Sands has been and always will be a second rate B-list actor. I am not trying to be mean, but that's the fact, Jack! His list of films are proof! Again, (sigh) I am forced to agree with "bring back the Routh and Doomsday" LEEE. Stamp is the way to go. He's been teased with his voice. Now I want to see him in the black and silver robes! Sands may just be deflating to watch. With Stamp, the anticipation alone would save this whole season.
