Just because recent news said that Warner has to do a Superman film by 2011 to keep the franchise, it doesn't mean they won't go in a completely different direction--and lose Lex Luthor.

Personally, I feel like they have already done too many of them with Lex in the mix or as the LEAD villain. Time to give Supes a super-powered foe and do some damage.
