This woman does not look her age. She ages like blacks and hispanics, which is a thumbs up considerin' most caucasians don't. Win! O_o;

I still don't think she is hot enough to be Lois. Diane Lane is gonna kill her on screen. BTW...is she gonna dye her hair for the movie? I cant see Lois with this color

@TheGreatOne0207 Lois Lane was never said to be hot. She was always said tyo be very pretty, but rather common. It's her brains, hard working nature, etc that made Clark fall in love.

@rbfn04 Have you ever read a Superman comic? All one has to do is look at the pictures to verify that Ms. Lane is a fine piece of ass.

I have to say at first I was like....ah ok but now I see her and I'm like....ah she's cute but not HOTTTT. They should found a hotter chick, Rachel McAdams or shit even Erica Durance.

She is just my favorite actress, and just stunning to look at. She is just so real

Come to think of it. After looking at the pictures, I think I need to see her as a brunette (even between the legs if she's not clean shaved) and with a tan. Homegirl also needs a tan she is just to pale

I think she will be a great Lois Lane.

Very good actress, and she can pull off Lois' go-get-em attitude with no problems. It's not about hotness. That's really not why Superman/Clark fell for her.

Look at the 18th picture that's not glammed up with photoshop. SHE LOOKS HORRIBLY AGED! Lines around her neck, her eyes, blotchy complexion. Just end the stupidity and get someone younger for crissakes! This chick is not gonna look any better three years from now.

The part of Lois on the big screen is as cursed as the role of Superman, everyone who's played her in movies is freaking mingy, never a real beaut. All the make up in the world aint gonna hide her age under HiDef and Blu Ray and her voice is horrible. You'll all wish they'd chosen someone else after this comes out.

I've U-turned on this film, it's getting worse every time news comes out about it. First they pick the shortest Superman to play the part, even Tom Welling is taller and bulkier than him. Then they pick the oldest woman ever to play Lois Lane, even ugly Margot Kidder was only 28 when she got the part. These idiots aren't even trying to give this a chance as a franchise, by the second and third film she'll look like grannie!

They might as well have given this back to Bryan Singer if they wanted to Frak it up again. At least we'd get some continuity instead of looking forward to another new reboot to come after this fails!

I love Amy Adams, but like, she's nearly 10 years older than Henry whose Superman!
By the time their's a 3rd movie she'll be like 40 ...

and I don't think she has the right screen presence or attitude to be a bad-ass straight talking Lois. I really do think she is a fantastic actress, but, I'm just not having a good feeling about this XD

@TheDesertGorilla: Heh, its actually scientifically proven. Caucasians have less protection against the sun's UV rays, thus their skin ages faster. Anyone else darker in tone has more protection. That's the reason why. I didn't make that up, lol.

Could they not have found a hot, talented actress with some big cans? Superman likes his babe to have curves in the right places.

Most posts here are sadly ignorant of the fact that Amy Adams is:

1) not really a redhead - she's a natural blonde, so dying her hair brunette for the part only requires a skill she uses frequently.

2) a 3 time Academy Award nominee in just the past few years

3) an incredibly versatile and talented actress, the best American actress to come along since Meryl Streep.

4) also playing Janis Joplin soon, someone who died at 26. Amy looks very young and takes excellent care of herself, perhaps a result of her Mormon upbringing.

Why are you guys so against having a REAL ACTRESS play Lois? Amy will be THE best thing in what is shaping up to be a great movie, if casting is any indication.

Go watch The Fighter, Catch Me If You Can, Mrs. Pettigrew Lives For a Day, Enchanted, Doubt, Julie and Julia, Junebug, Sunshine Cleaning and yes, Night at the Museum: Battle for the Smithsonian. You will see someone who can BE the original comics heroine, the Lois we know Lois from the books, the Lois that no one has quite come close to: the Lois of your dreams.

5) going to OWN the role of Lois Lane. One day you'll be as big a fan of Amy as I am. Til then, trust me on this, OK?

GLFan, I couldn't have said it better. You are 100% correct. Amy is extremely versatile and talented. I'll admit; I'm not a fan of Superman. I have my reasons. The past few Superman movies have been...well, just plain boring! When I heard that a new Superman was in the works, my first reaction was "Meh!" Who cares? But when I heard that the project was picked up by Christopher Nolan, after what he did with Batman, it piqued my interests. When the announcement was made that Snyder was going to direct it, I thought; okay, now I have to see this. But when I heard that Amy was starring in the movie, now I'm losing sleep at night because I am itching to see this film.

I saw people complain that Amy isn't hot enough for this role, but Margot Kidder was? Give me a break. I also heard that she's too old, wasn't Margot in her 30's also? If anything I think Henry is too young, but that's neither here nor there. The fact is that Amy is the best thing that has ever happened to this franchise since Christopher Reeves. And you can take that to the bank. Between Snyder and Amy, this movie is going to be rock solid! December 2012 cannot get here fast enough!

GLfan - 4/7/2011, 9:03 AM
And that, USSHuntley, is precisely why you hire top notch actors: it sells tickets to the general public in addition to those who'll go see their favorite character regardless of who plays him (and then gripe about that for years). That's why Nolan hired people like Tom Wilkinson, Liam Neeson, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman for Batman. He could have gone a cheaper route with serviceable no names, but those guys can do anything, and they all nailed their parts, making comic book characters believable for anyone, regardless of whether they'd ever read a comic.

Amy will do that for Superman, as will Kevin Costner & Diane Lane. Hiring the best people out there elevates the material so that it crosses over to rule the mainstream. Clearly Nolan got that point across to Snyder, and he's acting on it.

There are more qualities to consider when imagining Lois Lane than just her cup size: intelligence, verve, spunk, moxie - that 'je ne sais quoi' that makes you fall in love with someone. Amy's got it, for sure. I think Kal-El would agree.

BatLantern: And I've dated so many hispanics that I know what you're talkin' about, lol. Still, the "general" statistic is that "most" people of color age slower due to the tone of their skin. Why is this suddenly a debate? Lol
