Jason Momoa Shares Concept Art From THE CROW And Weighs In On The Remake Being Scrapped
Yesterday afternoon, it was revealed that The Crow remake has lost director Corin Hardy and star Jason Momoa (Aquaman). Now, the actor has weighed in on the project once again coming to a halt...
Various studios have been trying to make The Crow happen for years but it appears as if the project is almost certainly cursed because it's stalled yet again. Differences between Sony Pictures and those financing the remake resulted in both Corin Hardy and Jason Momoa deciding to walk away and it's now pretty obvious that it won't be meeting the release date which was originally set for 2019.
Now, Momoa has taken to social media to weigh in on no longer getting to play this iconic comic book character and it seems as if he's resigned himself to the fact it won't be happening. Interestingly, it sounds like he's alluding to some troubles behind the scenes which may have stopped The Crow from reaching its full potential but on the plus side, he may still be open to returning to the role. One day!
"I’ve waited 8 years to play this dream role. I love you @corinhardy and @sonypictures unfortunately I may have to wait 8 more. Not our team. But I swear I will. James O’Barr sorry to let you down I won’t on the next. This film needs to be set free. And to the fans. Sorry. I can’t play anything but what this film deserves and it needs love. I’m ready when it’s right. Love u Corin aloha"
