A recent promo featured Ronnie Raymond calling himself "Firestorm" (you can check that out by clicking here), but he made his small screen debut in this past Tuesday's episode of The Flash. If you're still not watching the series, this should give you an idea of just how great it is in terms of special effects, and if you are, what did you think of this first look at the characer's fiery powers?



PART ONE OF THE EPIC CROSSOVER EVENT WITH THE FLASH AND ARROW — Barry(Grant Gustin) is thrilled when Oliver (guest star Stephen Amell), Felicity (guest star Emily Bett Rickards) and Diggle (guest star David Ramsey) come to Central City to investigate a case involving a deadly boomerang. Excited about teaming up with his friend, Barry asks Oliver if he’d like to help him stop Ray Bivolo (guest star Patrick Sabongui), the meta-human Barry is currently tracking. Bivolo causes people to lose control of their emotions and has been using that skill to robbanks. Unfortunately, the superhero partnership doesn’t go as smoothly as Barry expected. When Oliver tells Barry he still has a lot to learn, Barry sets out to prove him wrong by attempting to stopBivolo alone. However, when Bivolo infects Barry and sets him on a rage rampage, everyone is in danger, and the only one who can stop him is the Arrow. Meanwhile, Iris (Candice Patton) is furious when Eddie (Rick Cosnett) tries to get a task force to stop The Flash, Joe and Dr. Wells(Tom Cavanagh) agree the Arrow is a bad influence on Barry, and Caitlin and Cisco deal with a newteam in S.T.A.R. Labs. Glen Winter directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & AndrewKreisberg and teleplay by Ben Sokolowski & Brooke Eikmeier (#107).

Looked pretty cool. cgi fire is notoriously difficult but i think in this case it worked out well... it was a little plasma-y which is perfect for firestorm.

God this show is kicking butts and taking names, soon we will have a special justice league episode or what I like to call them the "Justice Unit"; Arrow, Arsenal, Canary, The Flash, Firestorm, The Atom, Vibe, and if the rumors are true CBS's Supergirl. Man DC is whooping Marvels Butt on TV

@jollem i've successfully avoided GR2 because it seemed like the wise choice. is it worth watching? for the effects or anyting else?

I think he looks great, but it is really hard to see what they are building toward for this season because the crisis on infinite earths story probably won't happen for years and I doubt Arrow, Arsenal,Atom, Booster Gold, Canary, Firestorm, Flash, and Vibe are going to fight Ras and Reverse Flash as a team. I just can't see who the big bad will be unless maybe Grodd controls every one of the Flash's rogues.

As much as I like the special effects on the show. I wish they would use some of that budget to make the show feel like it happens in real world instead of a theater stage. Oh well they probably don't have that kind of money so special effects are great.

@SKone I don't think we will see all those characters together this season but I think they are setting up to give another character a CW show (crosses fingers for The Atom)I think it'll be two seasons at least till we get more than just two characters cross over. I don't think that big gold Justice plaque in the Central City Police department is just coincidence. And i don't think they'll have them all get together for the first time in infinite crisis, maybe they could do a Legion of Doom with Slade as the leader and have Deathstroke, Captain Boomerang, Captain Cold, Merlin, Killer Frost, and The Reverse Flash. Lets do it sounds good

@Grif let them develop the character he obviously isn't going to just stay that way, its not like Barry woke up and just knew what he can do and still hasn't figured it all out yet. I'm sure in time he will figure out the extent of his powers beyond putting his fire on
