'Oliver Queen' Won't Let 'Barry Allen' Fail His City In Extended TV Spot For THE FLASH

Ahead of the series premiere of The Flash next Tuesday, The CW have released an extended version of the "Discover" trailer which offers up another look at Barry's meeting with The Arrow and plenty of other action-packed new footage from the highly anticipated pilot!

After a particle accelerator causes a freak storm, CSI Investigator Barry Allen is struck by lightning and falls into a coma. Months later he awakens with the power of super speed, granting him the ability to move through Central City like an unseen guardian angel. Though initially excited by his newfound powers, Barry is shocked to discover he is not the only “meta-human” who was created in the wake of the accelerator explosion — and not everyone is using their new powers for good. Barry partners with S.T.A.R. Labs and dedicates his life to protect the innocent. For now, only a few close friends and associates know that Barry is literally the fastest man alive, but it won’t be long before the world learns what Barry Allen has become…The Flash.

Starring Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, The Flash will premiere on the CW on October 7th! The pilot was well-received after being shown at this year's San Diego Comic-Con (as well as by fans who managed to get their hands on a leaked copy a little while before that), and with Captain Cold, Firestorm and more all coming to Central City, this one will be well worth keeping an eye on!

Can't wait for this to kick off. Kinda pissed off with myself for watching the pilot. Glad I watched the Constantine pilot though, i needed reassurance on that shit and by God is it going to be awesome.

OT - didn't want to post this in a Gotham thread because most explanations there are heavily bias without a clear explanation:

Billionaire Family decides to go for a Walk into a Dark Back Alley...

It kind of sucks that it still seems like it will be a couple of weeks for the Flash. I saw the pilot at Comic-Con and the 10 or so trailers have pretty much given everything away except the tag scene at the end. I still loved the pilot and I'm looking forward to downloading the 1080p video on itunes.

@Jordanstine There is some truth to that post, but also, it's a show from a [frick]ing comic book. Trolls be trollin, Marvel or DC, it is what it is. Move on from the haters and the morons.

I like Arrow, I'm excited to give Flash a try. I liked Arrow though because it was grounded and only a little bit different from Green arrow year one. Never really read the Flash. I will watch Constantine as well. That said Didn't like Arrow season 2 that much. Felt like they ruined Deathstroke by making him crazy, and in the end it just became a costume party.

If the show is anything like Arrow and Gotham, we are golden.

I'm just happy that we are getting these shows GOOD or BAD plus Titans, Supergirl and Suicide Squad being talked about.

I'll take even a bad comic book show over a reality crap show or another competition show- hell I would have watched GRAYSON if they would have went ahead with that.

I hope the rest of the series is better than the cheesy pilot. So much potential, but damn TV is so limiting

@ Nerdman

You sir are an idiot!!!!!!!

Nolan's trilogy is the best CBM trilogy to date and will have that title until Avengers 3.

@nomis

I don't agree with nerdman but I think he is referring to the closed entity that was the Bat trilogy. A lot of people had sour grapes because Nolan supposedly didn't play ball with WB in creating a Justice League movie that would involve Bale's Batman. Whether that is true I don't know. I agree Nolan revitalized Batman and made Hollywood realize comic book movies can be great films worthy of accolades.

you have to give credit where its due. Nolan turned a joke into box office gold because Schumacher basically killed Batman.

Looking forward to Flash. As long as it avoids the same pitfalls that Arrow has, it should be great.
