Someone Else Saved Central City In THE FLASH Season 1 Finale

The residents of Central City believe that Grant Gustin's Flash saved the day. However, viewers know that Rick Cosnett's Eddie Thawne played a major role as well. But apparently there's one more person who played a key role in saving the city. Was it Jay Garrick? Wally West?

In the season one finale of The Flash, Tom Cavanagh's Reverse-Flash was on the verge of destroying Central City through a diabolical time-traveling scheme.  Gustin's Barry Allen was too green of a Speed Force user to pose a serious challenge to Reverse-Flash and it took a big sacrifice from Eddie Thawne to ultimately stop Wells.  However, EW has learned that season 2 of The Flash will reveal that there is someone else who played a major role in saving Central City.  Previously, we saw Jay Garrick's (Teddy Sears) helmet pop through the time portal so was that an indication that the Flash of Earth-2 was the Speedster who actually stopped the singularity? Or did Keiynan Lonsdale's Wally West provide a last second assist?  WWE wrestler Adam 'Edge' Copeland is also showing up in the season 2 premiere as Atom-Smasher, so he's also a candidate.  Personally, my money is on Robbie Amell's Firestorm as Victor Garbers's Prof. Stein is getting a new partner for Legends of Tomorrow.   Here's the clue from EW:

The title of the season premiere is a very curious thing: “The Man Who Saved Central City.” While the residents of Central City believe that man is The Flash, and viewers believe it’s Eddie, there’s someone else that played a very big role on that day.

The Flash season 2 premieres next week, Tuesday at 8/7c PM on The CW.
