The CW Releases Official Synopsis For THE FLASH Season 2 Episode 18 'Versus Zoom'

Check out the official synopsis for 'Versus Zoom', episode 18 of The Flash's sophomore season. Will Barry (Grant Gustin) prevail after traveling back in time to receive help from Reverse-Flash (Tom Cavanagh)?

BARRY IS READY TO FACE ZOOM; HUNTER ZOLOMAN’S STORY IS REVEALED 
Equipped with the tachyon device, Barry (Grant Gustin) believes he is fast enough to stop Zoom (guest star Teddy Sears) and wants to open the breaches to catch him. Harry (Tom Cavanagh) strongly advises against that plan but after Barry convinces him, Harry reveals that Cisco (Carlos Valdes) has the power to re-open the breach. Meanwhile, Hunter Zoloman’s (Teddy Sears) painful story on Earth-2 is revealed.

Stefan Pleszcynski directed the episode from a script written by Joe Peracchio and David Kob.




Seems a bit silly that after everything that's occurred between the two, Barry would put his faith in something he acquires from Reverse-Flash as the means to a victory over Zoom. What are the odds that the tachyon device malfunctions or secretly siphons off Barry's speed and sends it to Eobard? We'll find out for sure when Barry confronts Zoom for a rematch on the next episode of The CW's Flash!

@rabid - I think they will go the infinite crisis route and have all the speedsters trap Zoom inside the speedforce itself al la superboy.

This show has been nothing new from season 1. The Multiverse concept is just an another way to bring more villains. The story is literally just as the season 1. There are lots of things that turns me off. Nothing original. At the least, it isn't boring. But far from best.

People its THE CBTV......nah I wouldn't go too far I just won't agree with them.

@dragonator29 - But for the most part yes this is season 1 with a few twists they should of saved zoom for season 3 or something two speeders in a row wasn't a good idea

@dragonator29 - Lol not sure what you're on about at all. I think some episodes within season 1 & 2 can be classified as cannon fodder. But this show is amazing.

Having been a fan of the CW Show Smallville way back when. I think it's safe to say "The Flash" is still the best hero tv show out. At the end of the day it's either stick with comic without changing too much.

Or change it entirely I have the whole DC community rage lol.

I'll probably not watch this show after this season. Same with Arrow. They'll go in my trash bin with the rest of the garbage like Gotham, SuperGirl, Peggy Carter, and AoS.

@Ryuk1995 As much as I am loving season 2 I agree two speedsters for villains two seasons in a row is a bit much. Grodd is suppose to be the big bad for season 3. Really looking forward to that.

I also want to see Mirror Master in season 3.

@SWelch - Season 3 should have mirror master and grodd as the big bads that would be awesome just no more speedster villains for awhile I don't mind reverse flash showing up every now and then though

@SWelch - I think the issue is with Grodd is they are probably building upto that and also it's the first time we'll see a tv show showing up Flash's speed and the origins of what the Speed force really is explained.

I'm guessing Reverse Flash set him up to fail somehow. Maybe Barry will de-power. Maybe his speed force will become unstable and pass to Wally. Maybe he'll run so fast, he jumps straight to Eobard's future.
I can't imagine this season ending with Barry still the Flash in the current time line.
