The Flash is currently having something of a disastrous weekend at the North American box office, but we can surely all agree that Sasha Calle (alongside Michael Keaton) steals the show in the latest DCEU movie.
Whether she'll be asked to reprise the role in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow remains to be seen, especially as DC Studios will likely want to distance the DCU from the negativity currently surrounding this release. Calle, meanwhile, has to be disappointed that not one, but two scrapped endings for the movie once promised a bright future for her character.
She's clearly not letting that get to her, though, something that's evident from this heartfelt Instagram post. In that, the Supergirl actress looks back at her time working on The Flash and shares some awesome behind-the-scenes footage and photos of Kara Zor-El suited up and in action.
Check out Calle's post below.
Worlds collide in The Flash when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to.
That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian...albeit not the one he's looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry's only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?
The movie stars Ezra Miller, Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdu, Kiersey Clemons, Antje Traue, and Michael Keaton.
The Flash is now playing in theaters.
