The first screening for The Flash took place last night and we're expecting spoilers to begin doing the rounds online imminently. After all, an awful lot of people got to watch the movie at CinemaCon, and at least one of them is bound to spill the beans on some of its biggest surprises.
However, Warner Bros. themselves may have just ruined a major twist.
We've known for a while now Dark Flash will be The Flash's villain - he's been hidden in trailers and TV spots but not merchandise - though there's no word on who or what he is. However, some poor editing in the recently released Japanese trailer appears to confirm that a different version of Barry Allen is beneath his mask!
As you can see, the studio seemingly failed to edit out part of Dark Flash's costume, similar to what happened when The Lizard was attacked by an invisible foe in one of Spider-Man: No Way Home's international teasers (we'd later learn it was Andrew Garfield's web-slinger).

Worlds collide in The Flash when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to.
That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian...albeit not the one he's looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry's only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?
The movie stars Ezra Miller, Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdu, Kiersey Clemons, Antje Traue, and Michael Keaton.
The Flash races into theaters on June 16.
