Sony And Jason Momoa's THE CROW Remake Sets October 2019 Release Date

The Jason Momoa-led Crow remake has set its release date for 2019. Reportedly titled The Crow Reborn, the film presently has very little box office competition but will that guarantee success for Sony?

It seems as if today is the day for news on late-80s/early-90s revival project.  Shortly after news broke on Lionsgate's planned Highlander reboot, a release date for Jason Momoa's The Crow remake has been set.  The film will bow in North American theaters on October 11, 2019.

Also currently slated to open on October 11,
2019 is another reboot in The Addams Family, an adaptation of the old Nickelodeon TV show Are You Afraid of the Dark? and (yet another) adaptation in WB's take on the Donna Tartt novel, The Goldfinch - which has Ansel Elgort attached to star.

The reboot had been in development for nearly a decade at Relativity before Sony acquired its rights last Summer.
Corin Hardy is slated to direct.

The first red flag is the fact that this will be the 138th Crow movie,

The second and most note worthy red flag is the fact that it's being made by SONY

I think what would have been interesting to is them maybe adopt one of the other Crow comics such as
The Crow: Dead Time

Which follows Joshua who is a Native American farmer of the Crow Nation who is a farmer. Joshua, and along with his wife and child, are murdered by a band of Confederate soldiers. A century later, Joshua is resurrected by the Crow and hunts down the soldiers, who have been reincarnated as a biker gang.

@knocturnalzen10 -

Definitely a better continuation of the Crow mythos than any of the movie sequels.

I might not have read as many comics as some on this site, but definitely enjoyed Dead Time.

We are doing the adaptation of a comic where the protagonist was intentionaly drawn as androginous!
Who do we cast?
Jason Momoa of course!

WTF? Sometimes I think that some producers are a bit too much into drugs.

Brandon went out (literally) with a bang with his take on Eric Draven AKA the Crow, and i loved it. Keep it like that and stay away from this project. Remember Furlong.......Yikes

@Nasseal82isback - this (also furlong was the most tolerable imo from crow 2-4)
