Kiersey Clemons is now officially set to reprise the role of Irish West in The Flash.

The Dope actress was originally cast as Barry Allen's love interest in the theatrical cut of Justice League back in 2017, but her scenes were removed when Zack Snyder departed the project and handed over the reigns to Joss Whedon. Clemons will appear in the upcoming "Snyder Cut" of the film on HBO Max, however.

Nobody seemed to be sure whether Clemons would return when The Flash was racing through directors, and a scheduling conflict is reportedly to blame for the uncertainty. However, the actress has now closed her deal, and will join Ezra Miller as the Scarlet Speedster in the highly-anticipated DC Comics adaptation.

It director Andy Muschietti will helm the movie from a screenplay by Christina Hodson. Barbara Muschietti and Michael Disco are producing, with Marianne Jenkins on board as executive producer.

Plot details are still under wraps, but we do know that both Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck will return as their respective takes on Bruce Wayne/Batman, so the story is expected to be at least partially influenced by the Flashpoint comic book arc. We recently found out that The Flash would also introduce Sasha Calle as the DCEU's new Supergirl.

Warner Bros.' first solo outing for the Fastest Man Alive is scheduled to begin production in London next month.

Wasn't she cut from the movie before because her scenes were cut? That's like career whiplash for her. Oh well glad she's in this. I'm still really excited and hopeful for this movie.

@Mrcool210 - I'm thinking it has something to do with the snydercut using the scene. Sure, its not Canon but it's still that version of iris as far as the general audience is concerned.

That's a character that makes sense showing up in a Flash movie. Hopefully Flash won't strangle her.

So Kiersey Clemons was originally hired by former Flash director Rick Famuyiwa. He left the project, but Clemons was still set to appear in Justice League. Clemons was cut from Justice League, but now we get to see her in the Snyder Cut. Now she's set to appear in The Flash many years after she was first cast. A strange experience that must've been for her.

@MasterMix - At least she’s 100% come back for something, which makes her luckier than Joe Manganiello

@MasterMix - seems like she handled it well unlike Mr Fisher.

@MasterMix - a whirlwind of emotions, I'm sure.
Glad for her to be back though. Good that the messy production behind The Flash didn't cause her to lose her job

She was great in Dope. Good for her.

@ModHaterSLADE - I find her more naturally charismatic than Ezra. I really don't like the JL Version of the Flash but I hope they write some good scenes for them for the actual Flash movie.

This is like having Katherine Langford as Tony's daughter in an upcoming MCU project eventhough her scene got deleted in Endgame.
Kinda cool in a way tbh.

@TheDarkLastSonKnight - 3 whole examples spanning almost 40 years. One's a transginger that also [frick]s up a classic look, one is before most people on this sight were born and her other is the easter egg nod to her classic role.

@inkniron - Perhaps the Wally West from another universe. A more mature Wally West, who has lived many adventures with the Flash of his world and with other heroes. Now that his Flash is dead, that golden age is over.

- Pepper Potts as well.

@TheDarkLastSonKnight - Did I mention Iris? As a beast of a ginger myself, it's kind of disappointing they feel the need to almost completely eliminate them at every turn.

She was in Dope which was a really good coming of age movie

It also had Miles Morales himself, Shameik Moore, he was great as the main lead

@SimplyAz - another project with Moore in the (co-)lead role I enjoyed a lot was The Get Down. Wish we see him in moore

@SimplyAz - I didn't even do it intentionally (I often mistype stuff when on my phone).

For when you're gonna give The Get Down a try, go in with zero expectations. I ended up liking it so much, because I just didn't think about.

Kept surprising me in many ways, including the cast, and, if you know it, early Hip-Hop history.
