THE FLASH Star Ezra Miller Returns To Set To Shoot Pickups; Movie Now Said To Be "Picture Locked"

Despite his recent legal troubles, Ezra Miller has reportedly returned to the movie's set to film an additional day of pickups. We're also hearing that the DC film is now "picture locked."

Warner Bros. Discovery boss David Zaslav's decision to push forward with The Flash and take no disciplinary action of any sort against star Ezra Miller did not sit well with a lot of people, but the movie is still on track to race into theaters next June with Miller set to suit-up as the Fastest Man Alive.

The actor's numerous brushes with the law for all manner of troubling behavior resulted in a lot of backlash and controversy, but Miller's statement on the matter, in which they promised to seek help, was evidently enough for the studio.

Now, The Wrap is reporting that Miller returned to the set to shoot a single day of pickups last week. This has been misinterpreted as full reshoots by some, but pickups entail only minor alterations after the fact to augment footage that's already been shot, and probably won't result in any significant plot changes.

A separate report indicates that The Flash is now "picture locked," which basically means that the post-production process is almost complete, with only sound mixing and/or VFX shots to be added.

The Flash did reportedly go over very well during test-screenings, but it might be a different story when the movie opens to general audiences. At any rate, the Scarlet Speedster's solo debut is on its way, so it'll be very interesting to see how it's received when it hits theaters.

Will Miller remain in the role going forward? We have to believe that's highly unlikely, but it probably depends on how this movie fares and whether it ultimately does anything to alter the public's negative perception of the actor.
